It’s hard to keep track of the account wins and losses across the industry. To help you keep on top of who has what, here’s a wrap of the pitches from the week.

Cash Converters
Carat Perth has retained long-standing client Cash Converters, extending its six-year partnership with the national brand. Carat will continue to manage all media planning and buying for Cash Converters nationally, and continue to lead a multi-discipline team of Dentsu Aegis Network agencies, including Columbus, Amnet, Data2Decisions and Isobar.

Swinburne University
Swinburne University of Technology has appointed Initiative to oversee its advertising portfolio, following a competitive tender process. Initiative previously held the account since 2015 and will continue to manage the university's media strategy, planning and execution. AdNews understand the account has work of between $3 million and $3.5 million.

Smeg
Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg has appointed The Monkeys as its lead creative agency, making it the third win for The Monkeys in 2019. The agency starts work for the brand immediately. It previously won the accounts for Mountain Goat Beer and The Department of Communications and the Arts.

Petbarn
True Syd. has been appointed to the Petbarn and Greencross Vets social media businesses. The brands are part of Greencross Limited, a leading Australian pet food and products retailer. True Syd.’s remit now includes all social strategy across both, content creation and implementation across Facebook and Instagram, community management, social listening, reporting, and social media. True Syd. is the digital partner for independent agency This is Flow.

Cancer Council WA
Cancer Council WA has appointed digital performance agency Bonfire to launch its "Hope More Lottery" online advertising strategy. The new agency partnership will see Bonfire executing a paid search marketing strategy to increase ticket sales for their "Hope More Lottery" fundraiser.
