GWM's media account moves to Atomic 212° from Nunn Media

Independent media agency Atomic 212° has been appointed to the Great Wall Motor (GWM) media account, effective December.

This comes after a competitive pitch. The incumbent was Nunn Media.

The global auto brand simultaneously pitched its creative account which also saw incumbent The Hallway lose the account to Thinkerbell.

Anger as NZ government changes media and creative panel

New Zealand’s all-of-government creative and media panel has disappointed the local industry, insiders tell AdNews.

With major changes preferring agencies which could provide lower fees, leaving most of the big agencies out in the cold.

The panel is not mostly made up of global networks that send profits offshore, but instead local businesses.

Western Sydney Airport outdoor advertising contract open to pitch

Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) is inviting outdoor media companies to register interest in providing internal and external digital advertising.

WSI CEO Simon Hickey said this is an exciting opportunity for OOH organisations who have the knowledge, expertise and capability to deliver advertising solutions for an international 24-hour airport.

The digital advertising registration of interest process close October 8.

Wicked Sister appoints Forward and Khemistry to social creative account

Premium ready-to-eat dessert and snacks brand Wicked Sister has appointed Forward as its public relations and digital agency following a PR and social creative review.

Forward and its GrowthOps group partners - Khemistry and GrowthOps Performance - joined forces to secure the account which will see the agencies deliver an integrated PR, social creative, and influencer marketing program.

The teams will be responsible for always-on social and public relations work, as well as launching Wicked Sister’s new High-Protein 510g tubs and new vanilla flavour this month.

Barry’s Drinks appoints Media33

Barry’s Drinks, part of the Alter Ego Drinks portfolio, has appointed Media33 for strategic media planning and investment.

The partnership is set to commence immediately, with initial campaigns planned for launch in the coming months.

Barry’s Drinks co-owner Robbie D’Orazio said the company is thrilled to bring Media33 on board as its media agency partner.

Magic wins advertising account for Swann

Independent media agency Magic will lead Amazon advertising for global security company Swann after winning the account following a competitive pitch process.

Under the partnership, Magic will manage Amazon ads for Swann in Australia, the UK and the US, with a focus on driving cohesion, activation and optimisation to increase profitability across the regions.

Rocket Agency wins Coates

Equipment hire and solutions provider Coates has chosen Rocket Agency to run its strategic SEO, paid search and paid social management services.

The full-service digital marketing agency will manage campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn and Meta platforms, aiming to enhance Coates' online visibility and customer engagement.

Digital Minds Group wins Mud Australia

Digital Minds Group has been awarded the Paid Digital Media and SEO work for homewares brand Mud Australia.

Mud’s executive director James Kirton said the company is facing an incredibly important and exciting time in its global growth and expansion.

Haleon appoints Pubmatic preferred supply partner

PubMatic has been selected by global healthcare company Haleon as a preferred supply partner to streamline access to video, display, and connected TV (CTV) inventory globally.

PubMatic provides transparent bidding technology and supports Haleon brands such as Advil, Centrum, Sensodyne, Panadol and Voltaren through programmatic media buys.

AdUnion reappointed to More and Tangerine Telecom

Independent full service media agency AdUnion has made two appointments following the multi-year contract extension of challenger telco brands More and Tangerine Telecom.

More is a premium provider of NBN, phone and mobile services part owned by the Commonwealth Bank.

The Australian-owned sister business to More is Tangerine Telecom, which offers NBN and SIM-only mobile plans.

Adcore appointed by Munro Footwear Group

Adcore has been appointed by Munro Footwear Group to lead digital marketing efforts and enhance customer engagement across digital platforms.

Adcore's chief digital officer Ronit Moll said the Melbourne-based agency is thrilled to lead the charge in transforming digital marketing strategies for Munro Footwear Group.
