AdNews wraps up the biggest pitch news and wins from the past fortnight.

Griffith University media and creative up for pitch

AdNews revealed that brisbane-based Griffith University publicly opened expressions of interest for its media and creative account. The creative agency incumbent is Publicis Worldwide and the media incumbent is Essence Mediacom.

Yango wins Parramatta Eels and Frasers Property

Independent media agency Yango added Parramatta Eels and Frasers Property Industrial to its client portfolio following competitive pitches.

Murmur appointed media agency for Summernats

Summernats has appointed Sydney independent marketing agency Murmur Group as its key media agency for the season long series of events and the newly launched National Drag Racing Championship.

Starcom wins Keypath Education account

Keypath Education has appointed Starcom Melbourne to manage its broadcast media strategy, planning and buying account in Australia.

Dentsu extends Woolworths media account

Dentsu extended its reported $150 million multi year media account with Woolworths without going to pitch, industry insiders confirmed to AdNews. Woolworths, a top ten Australian advertiser by spend, and dentsu would not comment. 

Kia media account up for review

Kia Motors is reviewing its $19 million media planning and buying account, insiders told AdNews. A source told AdNews that Kia is looking to secure an independent agency for the account. 

Havas Media is the incumbent which won Kia Australia's above the line media buying and planning in 2017.

3Forward wins the Australian Institute of Company Directors media account

Media intelligence and activation agency 3Forward has expanded its relationship with membership organisation the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), being appointed to manage media planning and buying following a three-way pitch.

Half Dome wins Vitasoy pitch

Independent media agency Half Dome has been appointed the media agency for the ANZ plant-based nutrition business, Vitasoy. The agency will work closely with existing agency partners Leo Burnett, and The Pistol which has recently been appointed to the social remit on Vitasoy.

Initiative wins Cricket Australia media pitch

Initiative has been appointed Cricket Australia’s media agency of record, effective immediately. Three agencies and the incumbent, Apparent, have reportedly been in the robust pitch.

Bullfrog wins Oxfam pitch

Oxfam Australia has added independent creative business Bullfrog to its creative roster following a competitive tender process, ahead of its upcoming repositioning work.

Rocket Agency lands 8 new clients in pitch fest

Sydney-based digital marketing agency Rocket, has a won raft of new clients including Amazon Singapore, Fujitsu General, Business Australia, University of Notre Dame, flexhive by Hudson, City of Parramatta, RSPCA Queensland and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission.

OMD Brisbane wins Amart Furniture pitch 

OMD Brisbane has been appointed Amart Furniture's media agency, following a competitive pitch process. Independent media agency Nunn Media is the incumbent and has held the account in NSW since November 2020. OMD will now deliver business transformation for Amart Furniture with full service media capabilities locally in Brisbane.
