Pitch revenue dropped by half in the March quarter

Revenue from pitches across media and creative agencies in Australia fell by more than half in the March quarter, according to numbers aggregated by consultancy R3 Worldwide.

In the three months to the end of March, 57 pitches generated $13.8 million in revenue. In the December quarter, 129 pitches brought in $30.9 million.

For the month of March, Initiative topped the media agency pitch league table with wins for Pernod Ricard and Aussie Home Loans.

Omnicom Media Group was next with Johnson and Jonson, followed by Spark Foundry with a string of wins including Ancestry.com, Silver Seas Cruises and My Muscle Chef.

For creative agencies, DDB hit the number one spot with Mcdonald’s, followed by TBWA with Coles and then BBDO with Tourism Tasmania Digital, Demazin and Streets Blue Ribbon.
