For advertisers and brands, Pinterest has unveiled a range of new ad formats and tools at Pinterest Presents, Pinterest’s annual global advertiser summit.

After unveiling Premiere Spotlight on the search page back in June, this feature has now been extended into the home feed, giving brands the chance to exclusively own premium placements on Pinterest to promote their campaign for maximum visibility with consumers.

A new interactive ad solution called Showcase Ads allow users to preview and explore a brand's content by swiping through branded images and discovering things like seasonal looks, mini recipe books or a car's unique features. Quiz Ads give brands the opportunity to create an engaging quiz experience that leads consumers to more personalised ideas, helping them move deeper into decisions and toward a valuable purchase.

Creative Studio, which is currently in early testing, gives brands a speedy way to generate lifestyle imagery for product Pins. Brands will be able to simply add their Pin link, select the prompts that match their need, and Creative Studio will then generate a selection of custom background images.

Back in July, Pinterest announced Mobile Deep Links that instantly direct users to a specific page in a retailer’s mobile app, making it easier to shop for products after clicking on a shopping ad. The introduction of Direct Links helps take people from a Pinterest ad to a retailer’s website with just one click, reducing the steps it takes for users to go from discovering a product to checkout.

Pinterest is also expanding its integration ecosystem with two new integrations for Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Adobe Commerce native applications to all monetized markets. These integrations allow merchants to manage their Pinterest product catalogues and set up directly within the applications they already use for Salesforce or Adobe.

For agencies, Pinterest revealed improvements to its automated business tools to help manage their clients' presence on Pinterest. This includes Pinterest's Business Manager, a tool for advertisers that helps them automate complex workstreams.

To help users creatively shape their visions and shop those visions into reality, Pinterest is also introducing Collages. Leveraging the platform’s advanced visual technology, Collages enable users to cut objects out of a Pin and combine them with other cutouts to create interactive collages of their favourite ideas.

Pinterest's chief revenue officer Bill Watkins said the platform is innovating faster than ever before with a robust slate of relevant, personalised products to reach consumers with intent.

"We’re building with the goal to be the industry's best full funnel solution,” he said.

“We’ve made Pinterest more measurable from first impression to last click and we’re excited to share more about our new products that span the consumer journey, all in a more positive place online."
