As part of Yahoo's global volunteering day, Friday 16th September was Yahoo For Good Day, where teams across the globe took part in a day of giving back to the local community.
In Australia, teams volunteered for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Lifeline, Take Three For the Sea and Sydney City Farm.
Additionally, to help close the talent gap and inspire the next generation of talent entering the industry, Yahoo recently held Academy X on Wednesday 14 September, an open educational day for ten lucky university students.
The students took part in valuable mentoring sessions, talks on the media landscape and emerging trends, career discussions, headshots, and networking.
The universities involved included UTS, UNSW, Macquarie University, Western Sydney University, and University of Canberra.
