This Way Up, the 2024 event by the Australasian Writers and Art Directors (AWARD), powered by Advertising Council Australia, is being held at Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art.
The event aims to push creative boundaries, champion the best thinking, increase marketers’ desire to do better work, and encourage the business community to recognise that creativity applied to all aspects of business drives both impact and growth.
Speakers include: Nilesh Ashra, Founder and CEO, OK Tomorrow; Damon Stapleton, CCO and Founder, The Monkeys Aotearoa; Julian Schreiber, Partner and Chief Creative Officer, Special Group Australia; Liana Dubois, Chief Marketing Officer, Nine; Brian Cronk, Chief Product Officer, OMD; Mike Rebelo, CEO, Publicis Groupe ANZ; Rose Herceg, President ANZ, WPP; Tara Ford, Chief Creative Officer, The Monkeys, part of Accenture Song.
Anna Fawcett, executive producer at Filmgraphics, and The Monkeys co-founders Scott Nowell and Justin Drape have been inducted into the AWARD Hall of Fame during a ceremony as part of This Way Up.
Mandie van der Merwe, joint chief creative officer at Saatchi and Saatchi Australia and AWARD chair, was interviewed by Liana Dubois, chief marketing officer at Nine Entertainment, during special edition of Nine's podcast series at This Way Up.
