Independent Media Agencies Australia (IMAA) and end to end advertising platform Amobee hosted 'Agencies in AdLand' at East Perth's newly opened rooftop bar, Folly.
Offering 360 degree views of the city, it was the perfect backdrop to the event that attracted more than 60 attendees from local media and creative independent agencies.
Set up like a magical tea party, the event had exotic cocktails in tea cups and games of croquet, chess, and tic tac toe. Es Chandra, CEO of Glide Agency and IMAA leadership team member, described the event as a wonderful experience.
"The atmosphere was electric as we mingled with our fellow advertising enthusiasts while sharing ideas and industry insights," Chandra said.
"It was clear that the indie offering is a formidable force for clients and brands alike, with an impressive range of talent and experience in the room.
"We were treated to breathtaking views from Perth's newest rooftop bar, Folly, and a truly wonderland experience."
IMAA CEO Sam Buchanan said: "This event was such a great opportunity to get together with our Western Australian peers and celebrate the incredible growth we have already seen in market for the start of 2023.
"Championing Australian businesses, and the benefits of partnering with local independent agencies, is something the IMAA is wholly committed to. We will continue to advocate with all levels of government and local businesses to highlight the importance, and benefits, of partnering with Australian-owned indies."
Amobee APAC vice president Andrew Dixon said: "Amobee is proud to support the IMAA's efforts in Western Australia to elevate the role of independent agencies and empower their success. We believe that a strong and vibrant independent agency community is essential for a thriving advertising industry, and we are committed to helping the IMAA achieve this goal."
