PHD has built a 16-strong team to work on Volkswagen Group (VWG) media buying and planning business it won from MediaCom in a global pitch last year.
The team will be led by industry veteran Kim Raicevich, who joins as group business director, and also comprises business director Kate Milligan (of PHD) and VWG investment lead and group investment director Brittany Crowley, who joins from MediaCom. The transition from MediaCom to PHD has now conlcuded.
Raicevich brings more than 30 years of agency and client side experience, most recently as a consultant and trade marketing director at Fairfax Media.
Her agency experience spans managing director, global business and business development roles at Universal McCann, Carat, Vizeum Sydney and OMD.
She officially joins this month after being part of the freelance transition team since November 2016.
“I am very excited about coming back into the media industry after spending four years in marketing, to work on PHD’s largest global client Volkswagen,” she says.
“My broad experience in working on both sides of the fence will help PHD to achieve the lofty goals we have globally for the account, especially in the digital ecosystem.”
Milligan's 10 years in the industry includes experience working on automotive industry clients, including Mitsubishi, Nissan, Fiat and Toyota and has previously worked for TMS, Maxus and OMD.
She will be responsible for planning across all Volkswagen PV, CV and SKODA brands.
Crowley, who has worked across VW, Audi and Skoda accounts at MediaCom, will be responsible for “ensuring the team delivers the best possible output for clients consistently and drive VW sales and brand growth”. She will report into Lucy Formosa Morgan, national head of trading.
Following the appointment of PHD to Volkswagen Group’s (VWG) entire global media planning and buying business in June 2016, the agency has confirmed a number of senior appointments.
“Winning a client such as Volkswagon Group was a testament to the smarts PHD delivers, pulling together such a large team with a balance of internal promotions, and external hires puts us in a great place to deliver outstanding work for the VW group in the coming years,” PHD Australia managing director Mark Jarrett says.
