Today is Peter Horgan's last after nearly 22 years as an Omnicom employee.
The CEO of Omnicom Media Group Australia and New Zealand, universally known as Horgs, announced his departure in October last year.
"From here I move into a consultancy role till Sept, then something new," he said.
What that "something new" is hasn't yet been revealed.
"It has been an incredible journey, growing OMG to be the jewel of the region, and doing so in a way we could all be proud of," he said today.
"I have been CEO of brand or group for the last 15 years, and our success has been built on the efforts of talented and dedicated teams in Australia and NZ.
"So many memories, friendships, and thank you’s to all my OMG colleagues past and present, it has been a privilege.
“I’m delighted the reins are being handed to Kristiaan Kroon in AU and Nikki Grafton in NZ. Two thoughtful, principled and proven leaders. The Big O is in good hands."
Horgan represented OMG in the industry throughout his 10-year tenure as chair of the Media Federation of Australia.
