The Monkeys Melbourne’s CEO Paul McMillan, CCO Ant Keogh and CSO Michael Derepas are leaving after seven years.

Industry sources say the trio are planning to launch their own agency.

The Monkeys confirmed the three departures to AdNews.

"We can confirm that Ant Keogh, Paul McMillan and Michael Derepas are departing The Monkeys, and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours,” a spokesperson said.

The trio joined the agency after making a collective big move from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne in 2017.

The announcement comes during a period of change for The Monkeys, which will be switching its name to Droga5 in December.

Current managing director Matt Michael is in line to become CEO.

Bronwyn van der Merwe will become Accenture Song lead for Australia and New Zealand.
