Paul Hutchison has stepped down as CEO of M&C Saatchi-owned media agency Bohemia.

Hutchison made the personal decision to return to the UK, according to a M&C Saatchi spokesperson.

"Paul has been a valued member of the Bohemia and M&C Saatchi family, contributing significantly during his time with us," the spokesperson told AdNews.

"We respect his decision and are grateful for his passion and dedication. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

"Further details about the team will be shared at an appropriate time."

Hutchison took over the role in May of 2022, coming over to the agency after four years as chief executive of Wavemaker UK.

“The beauty of the country, the unique approach of the people I met during the process and the opportunity to deliver real growth in innovative ways was very hard not to get excited about,” he said at the time.

During his tenure, he oversaw a new positioning to begin 2023 – that of an agency that moves people through handcrafted, memorable media - as well as winning pitches for Australian Retirement Trust, Ryman Healthcare and Fever-Tree Australia; hiring Kimberly Stafford as national client partner and promoting Natasha Young to group trading and partnerships director; and rolling out Ingham’s first major campaign since 2005.

Hutchison has been contacted by AdNews for comment.
