Paramount+ advertising tier coming to Australia in 2024

Parramount+ will will rolling out its premium tier in Australia from next month and an advertising supported service in 2024.

The premium plan will launch in Australia November 16 for $13.99 a month or $124.99 a year.

Formats, including 4K UHD, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos, are available in premium. 

Premium subscribers can also use four concurrent streams, instead of the two streams that come with the standard plan. 

“After expanding our footprint to more than 45 markets last year, we are focused on scaling our business and providing  customer choice," says Marco Nobili, executive vice president, and International general manager for Paramount+.  

"Following the launch of the Mobile plan in Mexico and Brazil, the introduction of the Premium and Ad-supported plans will give us the ability to better serve different consumer segments by providing multiple pricing options while also tapping into tremendous opportunities among our advertising and brand partners."

New content on Paramount+ includes Top Gear Australia, NCIS: SYDNEY, Paper Dolls, and the second season of Last King of The Cross.

An eight-part series, Fake, starring Asher Keddie and David Wenham, is inspired by Stephanie Wood's bestselling book, delivers a gripping meditation on love in a world of lies and deceit.

Fake follows Birdie Bell (Keddie), a magazine features writer who thinks she’s found the one when she meets successful grazier Joe Burt (Wenham) on a dating app. 

The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers is primed to return in 2024, gifting fans of cringe comedy another season of pranks and punishments.

Childhood friends Jack, Falcon, Liam and Dom will once again go to any lengths to make fools of themselves in public, competing to embarrass each other while hidden cameras capture every hilarious, cringeworthy moment.
