Optus
Top ten advertiser Optus will deliver an outcome for its creative and media pitch by June, AdNews can reveal.
An Optus spokesperson told AdNews "we're in a procurement led process with an expected outcome by June 2025".
The pitch is being run by Optus' internal procurement team.
Accenture is the frontrunner for the media account, industry insiders tell AdNews.
This would mark the first client for Accenture's newly formed media arm, led by industry trio Melissa Fein, Sam Geer and Chris Colter.
An insider close to the account said Optus Singapore has final approval on all activity for Australia, which typically draws out most of the company's processes.
"If you miss one meeting, that could delay the process for another two months," the source told AdNews.
The telecommunications company's current agency roster includes IPG media agency UM, independent creative agency Emotive and creative agency M&C Saatchi’s bespoke offering Yes Agency.
