OMD has retained paint brand DuluxGroup, keeping $14 million of billings on its books and one of its foundation clients within the stable.
The Omnicom Media Group unit beat out Carat, MediaCom and Mindshare for the account with the pitching process taking about two months.
The paint account – which includes Dulux, British Paints, Selleys, and Yate & Cabot's – has been in the OMD stable since 2000, when it was an OMD foundation client.
Managing director of OMD Melbourne Margie Reid said in a statement that the win was testament to the collaboration across the Tasman.
“We are elated to finish off what has been a huge year for OMD with this fantastic news. We are extremely proud of our team who collaborated across Trans-Tasman,” she said.
“Our long standing relationship with DuluxGroup is very important to us, we are passionate about their business and are thrilled to continue this partnership, contributing to their future success across Australia and New Zealand.”
