OMD Australia has taken the top spot in both the RECMA and COMvergence annual billings rankings for 2020.
According to the latest RECMA report, OMD remains the number one media agency in Australia with close to 17% market share.
RECMA also reports OMD as the second fastest growing agency in Australia over the last three years. COMvergence reports similar rankings, with OMD firmly placed as the number one agency in total billings.
COMvergence shows OMD in Australia ending 2020 with $US657 million, ahead of Wavemaker with $US334million and PHD/Carat/UM in joint third at $US303 million.
OMD has continued its success in 2021, winning the Victorian government account in March, alongside other recent wins including Canva and the Maven Dental Group.
Aimee Buchanan, CEO, OMD Australia: “OMD’s resilience and strength has shone through over the past 18 months, with the collective agency rallying together to continue to show up and deliver for our clients when it mattered most.
"This result is testament to the team, their passion, resilience and capability. I am proud of this ranking, but even prouder of how the team delivered the result’.
OMD Australia was in September last year named AdNews Agency of the Year.
Judges: “OMD demonstrated measurable growth off a high base without compromising on people and culture – or their existing client relationships. They represent the whole package for media agency of the year.”
