Occupational Therapy Australia

Industry body Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) has unveiled a rebrand, developed in partnership with creative agency Showpony.

The rebrand signifies OTA’s commitment to championing the needs of occupational therapists (OTs) across the country, underpinned by the message ‘Stronger Together’.

The refreshed identity introduces a contemporary logo that encapsulates inclusivity, collaboration, and connectivity - the core tenets of occupational therapy. The logo, which integrates the letters ‘OT’, symbolises the unity and support for OTA’s members across Australia's eight states and territories.

OTA CEO Samantha Hunter said the rebrand is an important step for the organisation and the profession.

“The occupational therapy profession and our association have been continually evolving over the past 80 years,” Hunter said.

“This new evolution represents our commitment to a bold, modern future for the association. With rapid changes across allied health and broader policy settings, altering community health needs and emerging technologies, it is more important than ever that OTA is visible and widely recognised as the profession’s peak body. We are stronger together.”

Showpony creative director Nic Maumill said the process involved organisation and community wide discussion.

“The new OTA brand is testament to a peak body that champions true collaboration and connectivity," Maumill said.

“This collective sense of ambition translated to a new identity we’re immensely proud of – one that firmly positions OTA as the singular connection point for occupational therapy in Australia.”

OTA President Priscilla Ennals said the rebrand expresses pride in the profession's evolution and opportunities for the future.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am proud to reveal our new bold image which reflects both our unity across the profession and the country," Ennals said.

"I am pleased with our new platform that will keep us connected together and will influence and inform a wider audience.”
