Nova’s new original podcast Home Hacks, launched at the weekend, is for thoise who get a kick out of finding simple shortcuts, ways to simplify life.
The founders of Mums Who, Karlie Suttie and Rachael Hallett, each week focus on a different small space in your home. The bite sized episodes aim to keep things nice and simple and ensure listeners won’t get overwhelmed.
Home Hacks will provide practical tips on everything from organising your makeup storage to easy changes you can make to your laundry and broom closet to increase its functionality.
The series will also feature seasonal tips such as how to pack away your Christmas decorations so you avoid having thousands of tangled fairy lights next year.
Mums Who started in early 2017 when Co-Founders, Karlie and Rachael, wanted to share their love of home organisation with like-minded people. With an on-line community of over 600,000 people, the duo shares simple tips and hacks on their socials, upload helpful blogs to their website, have created their own innovative products and have written a book “Mum’s Who Clean” to help all mums manage and organise their daily lives.
Karlie: “I love to organise and am super passionate about sharing tips and tricks that could help make other’s lives easier. I’ve developed systems that save time, money and make the space look nice. I can’t be bothered doing everyday tasks like cooking, laundry and grocery shopping so I’ve created ways to make this an easy task so I can spend time doing fun things with my kids.”
Rachael: “I love making time for things that matter, so organising is all about increasing efficiency. Having great systems and everything in its place means there is no brain power required, it makes mundane tasks like putting away groceries, toys or a general tidy more efficient and frees up precious minutes for family time.”
With a love for planning and organising, Karlie is the mum of three young girls and has always been organised while Rachael, a mum of two boys, is a self-confessed natural slob but loves the feeling of being clean and organised. The Victorian duo have all the tricks and tips to provide listeners with the best Home Hacks to improve and simplify their home life and personal spaces!
Elle Beattie, NOVA Entertainment’s Managing Producer: “I’ve been a member of the ‘Mums Who’ Facebook groups for years and have seen first-hand the appeal that exists for this style of content, especially now that we are spending more time than ever at home. Karlie and Rachael are a goldmine for content, and already have an active engaged audience. I am really excited that we can extend their brand into podcast form and hopefully, finally have a Tupperware drawer that closes!”
Home Hacks is an original Nova Podcast launching on Saturday, October 23, with a new episode released every Saturday, and is available here, on the NOVA Podcasts Player or wherever you access your podcasts.
