While Channel Seven waltzed to a big win on Friday night, Nine managed to win the weekend with narrow wins on both Saturday and Sunday.

With Seven taking home the top four rating shows on Friday night, with Better Homes and Gardens the top-rating program, it took home a 34.8% ratings share against Nine's 26.7% on a quiet night.

However it was unable to build on the momentum over the weekend, with Seven's coverage of the Cup Carnival on Saturday unable to get it past the post with its nose in front.

Nine won the night with a 28.6% share against Seven's 27%.

With both Friday and Saturday both quiet, the main action was on Sunday with all networks putting up high-profile shows.

Channel Seven duo The Big Adventure and Resurrection both dropped week on week. The Big Adventure was down 7% from last Sunday to 597,000 metro viewers and a double episode of Resurrection was down to its lowest ever audience of 314,000.

However both episiodes had an average viewership of 380,000.

It's worth noting that The Big Adventure was shifted from its usual timeslot of 6.30pm to 7.30pm, putting it in direct competition with Nine's 60 Minutes, which was the highest-rating show of the night with 1.17 million viewers.

Meanwhile Nine's Gotham also shed viewers, down to 527,000 and 393,000 for two episodes.

Ten's import Scorpion, shown at 6.30pm, was also down slightly on last week with 561,000 viewers.

The lower numbers for Channel Seven's duo combined with winners for Nine meant Nine won Sunday night with a 28% share against Seven's 27.3%.
