Nine is expanding its Good Food brand with the launch of a new magazine.
Currently, Good Food has an online destination, goodfood.com.au, and a weekly section in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.
Now, the publisher is adding a monthly glossy magazine, which will be inserted into both the SMH and The Age, starting in October. The Good Food magazine will focus on providing recipes, restaurant reviews and food-focused travel features.
It will be edited by national Good Food editor Ardyn Bernoth, who says a second cookbook for the title is also in the works.
Chris Nardi, Nine’s director of sales for publishing, says the new magazine will target a “highly savvy, food-loving audience”.
“More than two million Australians read Good Food in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and on goodfood.com.au each month,” Nardi says.
“To extend such a strong brand into a glossy format is exciting and offers so many more opportunities for advertisers to reach this highly engaged audience.”
The addition of the Good Food magazine comes after Nine also revealed the launch of Machine for The Australian Financial Review.
Other publishers are also rolling out new print titles, including a new fitness magazine and Pacific’s royal-focused magazine.
