Nielsen - Digital news rankings August 2020

Australians, with only two thirds of the year gone, have spent almost the same amount of time consuming news online as they did for the entire year of 2019, according to Nielsen.

Nielsen Digital Content Ratings data released shows ABC News websites retained the top position, with a unique audience of 13 million for the month of August.

news.com.au ranked second with a unique audience of 11.2 million, followed by Daily Mail Australia with 10.9 million and nine.com.au with a unique audience of 10.3 million.

7NEWS was ranked fifth with 9.9 million.

The Age (+8.42%) and Daily Mail Australia (+1.75%) were the only two sites in the top ten to see an uplift in unique audience compared to the previous month.
