News tops first Thursday since Bachelorette ends

It was a night of news according to last night's overnight OzTam figures, with the top six viewed programs falling under the news and current affairs banner.

Last night, the first Thursday night viewing since Ten's the Bachelorette finished its series run, saw Seven News take out the top-watched program of the night on 916,000 viewers, followed by Nine News on 909,000 viewers.

Nine's A Current Affair was the fifth most watched program of the night on 858,000 viewers, while ABC News picked up 821,000 viewers as the sixth most watched show.

In entertainment viewing, RBT on Nine had 725,000 viewers while Ten's showing of Jamie’s Super
Food had 577,000 viewers. Gogglebox picked up an audience of 565,000 and was the 12th most watched show of the evening.

By demographic, Jamie's Super Food topped the 16-39 age bracket, while Gogglebox topped both the 18-49 and the 25-54 age brackets.

Seven won the night on 28.5% audience share followed by Nine on 26.2% audience share. Ten picked up 21.7% audience, ABC clocked 18.4% and SBS followed on 5.2% audience share.
