Uber launches food delivery app in US cities
Uber has launched a standalone app, UberEATS, that makes ordering food as easy as requesting a ride. The app launches in select US cities, with a plan to roll out in the Melbourne market soon.
Instagram to change algorithmic feed
Instagram may soon be changing up its timeline, showing photos not based on chronological order but based on popularity and other social signals. This means Instagram could soon follow a similar curation process to Facebook’s news feeds.
The move comes weeks after Twitter’s newly designed algorithms launched, showing tweets based on relevancy rather than chronology.
iSelect sponsors Bayside United Football Club
Online comparison service iSelect is the first major sponsor of newly-founded female soccer club Bayside United FC, part of the new Women's National Premier League (WNPL).
The two-year deal is worth $30,000 a year and represents the first time in Australia a major corporation has sponsored a local female soccer club.
