News Bulletin: Ritson at radio conference, Ooh! kiosks and JCDecaux data play

JCDecaux partners with Data Republic

JCDecaux is partnering with secure data exchange technology company, Data Republic, and is the first media owner to join its Open Data Marketplace. This partnership gives JCDecaux access to geospatial, behavioural and transaction level insights from a library of proprietary data from leading organisations including Westpac, and Qantas Loyalty. Data Republic founder Paul McCarney says: “Our Open Data Marketplace provides secure technology infrastructure to enable the collaboration and exchange of de-identified data insights between JCDecaux and our other partners. Our technology opens up a whole world of insights and connections between media owners and brands - empowering measurement accountability and data-driven campaign planning.”

Ritson to headline Melborune radio conference

Mark Ritson, the outspoken marketing professor is to headline Commercial Radio Australia’s conference in Melbourne in October. Ritson says: "It's become the norm to suggest that 'traditional' marketing approaches don't work and the new approach to content/purpose/inbound/digital/storytelling has disrupted everything. I look forward to presenting an alternative view."   Joan Warner, chief executive officer of CRA adds: "Mark is a global leader in marketing and we're thrilled he's presenting at this year's conference."   

Ooh!media introduces pop-up kiosks 

Ooh!media has introduced pop-up kiosks to its digital network to bring to life dynamic, experiential campaigns in retail, airport and CBD office tower environments. The flexible mobile kiosks integrate media and activation and are being used in more than 500 shopping centres for advertisers including NIVEA, Carnival Cruises, The Body Shop and Leggo’s.
