NewsLifeMedia names head of insights

NewsLifeMedia CEO Nicole Sheffield has named Sabrina Chan as the company’s head of insights. Chan joins the publisher from Pacific Magazines where she was insights manager for the past five years.

In her new role, which starts August 24, Chan will be responsible for NewsLifeMedia’s research division, providing thought leadership through quantitative and qualitative research relating to consumer behaviour and attitudes, to uncover and deliver insights and recommendations for commercial initiatives.

Colgate ties up with Australian Turf Club for Sydney Spring Carnival

The first race day of the 2015 Sydney Spring Carnival at Royal Randwick will be known as Colgate Optic White Stakes Day as part of a tie up between the brand and the Australian Turf Club.

As a sponsor for this year's Sydney Spring Carnival Colgate will take the naming rights of what was formerly called George Main Stakes Day, with the day's racing to be headlined by the Group 1 $500,0000 Colgate Optic White Stakes.
GroupM media agency MEC brokered the partnership with the Turf Club.

Switched on Media adds Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation

Digital marketing agency Switched on Media – part of the STW group - has snapped up the Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation to add to its client list.

The agency will take on digital paid media channels, focussing on search, display, re-marketing, and social.
SoM’s business development manager, Sam Powell said he was thrilled to be selected as 12WBT’s digital agency, with the brand wholly focussed on its digital strategy to drive the business.

“SoM and 12WBT share similar business philosophies and approaches to digital ideation,” said Powell.

Stan signs Warner Bros. TV deal

Subscription video on demand (SVOD) service Stan has signed an exclusive deal with Warner Bros which will add additional content including first-run TV shows and blockbuster movies onto its service.

As a result of the distribution deal TV shows including iZombie and The Following will be included on Stan along with all 236 episodes of Friends.

In addition TV shows including Selfie and A to Z will be premiering on Stan later this year along with hit shows including The West Wing, Hart of Dixie and The OC.

Stand content and product director Nick Forward said: "Our partnership with Warner Bros. is the most significant since launch in terms of bringing outstanding, exclusive premiere shows and some of the most popular TV series of all time to Stan.” 

“By adding hundreds of hours of new content to Stan’s line up, the deal further cements our position as the SVOD service with the highest quality and largest library of content in Australia.”
