News Corp rolls out staff innovation program
News Corp is urging its 8,000-strong workforce to come up with big, disruptive idea as part of an innovation program called News Bolt. The program is sponsored by executive chairman of New Corp Australasia Michael Miller and GM of M&A and strategy Richard Skimin. Slingshot Accelerator is working with News to deliver the program. “Creativity, bold thinking and innovation is deep within the heart of News Corp and cultivating this is what this program is all about,” Miller said. “With a history of entrepreneurship, taking risks and innovating for success, we believe in thinking creatively and challenging the status quo.” News Corp will be using Town Hall meetings, showcases, ‘innovation sprints’, workshop, mentoring and pitch days to progress ideas. The best ideas will be presented to the News Corp board in New York for endorsement.
TEG rebrands research business
TEG, owner of Ticketek and supplier of ticketing, live entertainment and data analytics, has rebranded its research business TEG Rewards to TEG Insights as it looks to expand its services across a greater variety of clients and categories. Andrew Reid, TEG Insights and TEG Analytics' general manager says the rebrand is the result of the company reaching a point where it needed to integrate all of its offerings across analytics, research and digital under one business. The company will now offer clients a complete consumer insight based upon its expanding data sets and longstanding database. TEG analytics and insights then works with its partners, most recently Seven West Media, to identify the most relevant consumers for brands to target through their respective broadcast, digital or print partners.
