Landor and Designworks merge

WPP's agencies Landor and Designworks have merged under the Landor name in a move the holding company says creates a “branding powerhouse”. Designworks is a local Australian agency focusing on corporate branding and customer experience design, while Landor is a globally recognised branding and innovation agency with 27 offices worldwide. The move is a part of the new WPP AUNZ plan to rationalise the number of agencies in the group in Australia following the merger with STW Group a year ago. The office will be led by Landor MD Dominic Walsh.

WPP launches health and wellness arm

WPP has launched a new global sub-division to bring together all its health focused businesses. Sir Martin Sorrell, WPP CEO says WPP Health & Wellness “represents the next evolution of horizontality, through which WPP will continue to lead and transform health marketing”. It will be led locally by Gary Pattison who becomes CEO of WPP Health and Wellness AUNZ. He will split his time between leading the new business unit and leading the Ogilvy CommonHealth team.
