Amazon takes over NFL live streaming from Twitter
NFL and Amazon have reached a deal which will see the company stream 10 Thursday night football games this year, a deal reportedly worth around US$50 million. The move will see Twitter losE the deal, after streaming last season's 10 games. At the time Twitter beat out other companies including Amazon, Facebook and Verizon to nab the US$10m deal. Viewers will have to be Amazon Prime members in order to watch live, which is a departure from last year’s deal where games were available free for anyone on Twitter. Amazon recently confirmed it would soon venture in influencer marketing.
Opera House, EnergyAustralia and CSIRO team up for sustainability
The Sydney Opera House, energy supplier EnergyAustralia and CSIRO have partnered to help push the tourist destination's Environmental Sustainability Plan (ESP). The Opera House first launched the plan in August last year, which detailed a series of long-term sustainability goals including carbon neutrality, a 5-Star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia and 14% energy saving. The partnership will see the development of a new industry think tank, delivering a strategy to enable the Opera House to achieve carbon neutral certification by 2023 and identifying and implementing sustainable energy solutions to be trialled by the Opera House as part of its long-term carbon-reduction strategy.
