Digital ad company Adstream Australia has started the new year with an internal job shake up.
It has bumped its commercial director Geoff Hoffmann into the role of MD Australia and New Zealand and his predecessor, MD Peter Miller, now takes the reins as executive director – global market strategy.
According to Gerry Sutton, Global CEO of Adstream, the appointment of Miller to this new global role underlines Adstream’s intention to be a “progressive global company balanced with strong regional leadership and focus”.
“Peter has lead Adstream Australia to exceptional success for over 10 years so he brings to the role his understanding of regional and local needs, and a well-developed global perspective,” Sutton said.
Miller is a director of Adstream Asia and will support that division’s development, especially with regard to the global advertiser and agency partnerships already established in Australia and Europe.
An enthused Miller said: “I am jazzed about this next project. Adstream Australia has been a labour of love for me from startup days to a mature and successful player in the Australian ad game.
“We have learned plenty in our first decade, much of that from our customers. To bring these learnings to our expanding global operation is a terrific opportunity for me personally.”
New MD Hoffmann joined the Adstream team in 2014 as commercial director after a long career in senior sales roles with Australian companies including Sensis.
“Geoff brings fresh eyes, deep experience and new skills to this great business. He is a sharp strategic thinker, is fantastically customer focused and will do well on all fronts” Miller added.
Nearly two weeks into January and adland has seen a handful of new job moves already.
Ikon Communications CEO James Greet has left the company after 18 months in the job. The move saw Pat Crowley promoted to managing partner of its Sydney office.
Seven West Media's chief financial officer Dave Boorman gave his resignation, which was "reluctantly accepted" by the media company, and former head of planning at full service independent advertising agency The Hallway, Sophie Price, has returned to IPG Mediabrands' media agency UM.
