Volt Bank has appointed launch marketing specialists Five by Five Global as its agency of record following a competitive pitch.
The bank, the first of a new wave of digital challengers to be granted a banking licence, will rollout its first product, focused on savings, later this year.
“We selected Five by Five because they demonstrated an approach to launch marketing that is grounded in deep insights and is tailored for new market entrants,” says Maria Loyez, chief customer officer at Volt.
Sydney agency’s client roster includes Lenovo, Red Bull, Ring.com, Patron Tequila and several startups.
Five by Five Global’s Managing Director, Matt Lawton, says: “This win further validates that launch marketing is a discipline needing specialists who understand how best to apply integrated PR and advertising services to drive early momentum.”
The agency will focus initially on building the bank’s waitlist ahead of a gradual rollout of their app, which is currently in staff testing.
Volt Bank was founded in 2017 and this year became the first company in Australia to get a full banking license since the early 2000s.
Abother neo-bank, Judo, last month hit the Australian market hard with a national advertising campaign.
The campaign in the major capital city markets of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane is running across press, outdoor, radio, digital and social.
