Sunita Gloster joins WPP a chief customer officer
After just 10 months at PwC, Sunita Gloster has joined WPP AUNZ in the newly created role of chief customer officer. Gloster joined PwC in February as the consultancy formed its CMO Advisory group. She was briefly the chief strategy officer at Network Ten in 2017 and prior to that, the CEO of the Australian Association of National Advertisers. In her new role, Gloster is tasked with forging closer relationships with customers in the complex media landscape
WhiteGrey's executive creative director departs to join DDB Melbourne
WhiteGrey Melbourne’s executive creative director, Anthony Moss, is set to join DDB Melbourne to replace current ECD, Stu Turner. Turner joined DDB Melbourne in June last year from his previous role as Havas' executive creative director to return home to South Africa. Moss will be joining DDB in the new year and is set to lead the creative team of conceptual and systematic thinkers across DDB, TRACK and Mango. Moss will continue to work with WhiteGrey until January 22 next year. The agency is currently hunting for a new ECD.
Publicis groupe appoints Helge Gruettke as chief client officer
Publicis Groupe has appointed Helge Gruettke as its chief client officer, following its recent win of Campell Arnotts creative, media and PR account in March. Prior to joining Publicis Groupe, Gruettke was a client services director at VML and departed the WPP-owned agency in July. He left the position prior to the WPP merger of VML with Y&R. Gruettke has also worked for agencies including CX agency Lavender, Grey Germany and BBDO Germany.
JCDecaux appoints Oliver Newton as national GM for sales
JCDecaux chief commercial officer Max Eburne has appointed Oliver Newton as general manager – sales for the out-of-home business in Australia. Newton is one of the final major appointments to the executive leadership team in the recently merged JCDecaux and APN Outdoor business. Newton was previously national sales manager at JCDecaux and in his new role, Newton will lead the expanded JCDecaux agency and direct sales teams.
OMD appoints head of strategy and product Kasey Doran
OMD Australia has appointed Kasey Doran as head of strategy and product. Doran will be responsible for developing innovative communications solutions and driving quality product output for the OMD Brisbane office. She has had over 20 years' experience within the industry and joins from Publicis Media. Her role begins December 10th, 2018.
72andSunny hires Tara Jaigee as business development director
72andSunny has hired Tara Jaijee as business development director to work across Sydney and Singaprore offices. Jaijee joins the team from The Monkeys where she was the head of marketing. Prior to that she led marketing and new business at creative agencies M&C Saatchi Group and DDB Group in Australia. Jaijee began her career as a consultant, helping agencies across advertising, public relations, digital and design refine their business development and marketing strategies, before making the move agency-side to Fallon London. She has worked across the globe in London, Melbourne and Sydney.
Clemenger BBDO welcomes Gareth Pask as group business director
Clemenger BBDO, Sydney welcomes Gareth Pask as group business director, leading the Hungry Jacks account. Pask joins from Host/Havas Sydney, where he led the Bankwest account for the past five years and has held roles at Special Group and M&C Saatchi over the course of his 20-year career.
Nova Entertainment appoints Tamara Pannett as head of agency
Nova Entertainment has appointed Tamara Pannett to the role of Melbourne head of agency. Pannett will lead the Commercial Agency team and cultivate a high-performance culture by using innovative and tailored solutions designed to grow Nova Entertainment’s clients’ business. With over 13 years’ experience as a senior media sales and marketing professional, Pannett has extensive experience in digital and print advertising across all categories. She has held various roles during her career including Head of Sales and Partnerships (Australia and New Zealand) for The Urban List, Group Sales Manager for News Corp Australia, Compass Agribusiness Management’s Marketing and Sales Manager and National Sales and Operations Manager for NewsLifeMedia.
WhiteGrey appoints Katie Firth
WhiteGrey has tasked former TBWA Melbourne executive producer Katie Firth to lead its growing agency. Firth steps into the newly created role of national managing director and will be based in Melbourne. With more than 17 years of experience, Firth has worked at Cummins&Partners, Publicis Mojo and CHE Proximity. She starts her role on 14 January 2019.
