Town Square appoints Cummins & Partners' Jeff Malone as chief strategy officer
Independent creative agency Town Square has appointed Jeff Malone as its new chief strategy officer. Malone has had a global career which spans more than 15 years and four countries, having led several strategy departments, launched and built a behavioural science consultancy and worked at drinks giant Lion as a creative strategist where he helped drive new product development.
Icon Agency adds three to team
Integrated communications firm Icon Agency has appointed three senior staff, spearheaded by Emma Bridgeman who joins in the role of director of technology and B2B, based in Sydney. Stefanie Safahi joins as a senior account director and was previously head of communications at Folklore Ventures. Rania Aissaoui also joins as account director, following several years at Ogilvy and Teneo.
Outbrain's Yury Glikin promoted to ANZ commercial director
Outbrain, a technology platform for the open web, has promoted Yury Glikin to the newly created role of commercial director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Glikin joined Outbrain in 2021 as head of sales for ANZ, and under his expanded role will oversee the development and implementation of Outbrain’s commercial and sales strategy along with new business opportunities to accelerate revenue growth across the region.
Danone promotes marketing director Kathy Cavill to GM
Food and beverage products company Danone has appointed Kathy Cavill as the new GM for Australia and New Zealand. With more than eleven years of experience at Danone, including her most recent role as marketing director, she is the first GM appointed from within the local business, as all other GMs are expats. Cavill will be succeeding Rodrigo Lima, who has been promoted to president and representative director of Danone Japan & Korea.
Rob Hudson replaces Paul Bates to head REA Group media sales
REA Group has appointed Rob Hudson to lead the Group’s media sales team in the role of national sales director (media). The promotion comes as yesterday, former director of sales (media) Paul Bates announced his departure from the position, moving to Cartology as GM - agency sales.
whiteGREY lures design director Nerida Murphy
Creative technology agency whiteGREY has appointed Nerida Murphy to the newly created role of design director. Murphy will lead whiteGREY’s brand design offering and further elevate the level of craft within the agency. Murphy previously held creative leadership roles at FutureBrand Australia and at Re (M&C Saatchi); she has also led her own design business.
Hopeful Monsters appoints Tegan Knight to senior business director
Indie creative agency Hopeful Monsters has appointed Tegan Knight as its new senior business director, further bolstering its experience in the sports and entertainment space. Knight joins Hopeful Monsters from gaming giant Activision Blizzard, where he spent eight years (across two separate stints) leading brand comms across ANZ and wider APAC markets for entertainment franchises including Call of Duty and Diablo.
Bastion Creative appoints Susan Bird to lead Melbourne operations
Bastion Creative has appointed Susan Bird as managing partner to lead its Creative practice in Melbourne. Prior to joining Bastion, Bird held the positions of client partner and GM at AJF for more than a decade, during which she lead some of AJF’s largest client relationships including Officeworks, Specsavers, Bega, Australian National Preventative Health Agency (ANPHA), Bendigo Bank and Brown Brothers.
JOLT appoints Pedestrian Group's Sam Hannaford programmatic director
JOLT, sustainable digital-out-of-home and electric vehicle charging network, has appointed Sam Hannaford in the newly created role programmatic director. Hannaford will be responsible for managing JOLT’s programmatic client stable and will report to JOLT head of sales and platforms, Michael Selden.
Cint names Bella Tao ANZ head of sales
Research technology company Cint has appointed Bella Tao as the head of sales for the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. With an extensive background in insight and campaign effectiveness measurement, business development, SaaS, and brand growth, she has honed her skills in sales strategy, client management, and revenue growth, holding key positions at companies such as Kantar, Dynata, and TikTok.
