It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

The Monkeys nabs Lennie Galloway and Thomas Gledhill

The Monkeys, part of Accenture Song, has appointed two associate creative directors, ex-Goodby Silverstein & Partners creative team Lennie Galloway and Thomas Gledhill. Galloway and Gledhill have been working together for almost a decade. They began their career at FCB New Zealand, winning Cannes Young Lions as interns. The duo has just finished a four-year stint at Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco where they created work for Cheetos, Autodesk and Liberty Mutual.

We Are Social's GM jumps client side

Socially-led creative agency We Are Social's general manager Alice Coulthard is leaving after two years for financial services company Block to be APAC corporate communications lead. Coulthard was appointed in March 2022 and was responsible for overseeing the operations of the business and helping to drive continued growth in creative momentum.

Ogilvy appoints Lisa Down and Leila Cranswick to Sydney CD roles

Ogilvy Network ANZ has appointed Lisa Down and Leila Cranswick creative directors in Sydney. The duo will work closely with Ogilvy Network ANZ chief creative officer Toby Talbot and the Ogilvy Sydney creative leaders. Cranswick and Down have worked jointly as associate creative directors and innovation leads across a range of brands, together creating campaigns for clients such as ALDI, Tourism Tasmania, TAL, the Federal Government, and Insuranceline among others.

Clemenger promotes Jimmy Schaw

Clemenger Group has promoted James (Jimmy) Schaw to the new role of national workplace experience and building manager. Schaw will ensure all Clemenger Group workplaces across Australia are inspiring destinations that strengthen cultural connection, promote learning, and foster creativity and innovation.

Social Soup boosts leadership team

Australia and New Zealand influencer marketing business Social Soup has promoted Cara Norris to the newly created role of head of growth and partnerships and has recruited Carolyne Gowen as client partnerships director. Norris joined Social Soup from Pacific Magazines in 2018 as Victorian sales director and has spent the past six years growing the business out of Melbourne.

PHD's head of strategy Remi Baker exits

PHD's Sydney head of strategy Remi Baker is exiting the Omnicom media agency after eleven years. Brendan Hewitt PHD New Zealand's group strategy director steps into the role on June 17. Baker said the time has come to embark on the next chapter of her career.

Niall Hogan becomes GumGum JAPAC MD

Contextual-first digital advertising platform GumGum has appointed Niall Hogan GM for JAPAC (Japan, Australia, and Asia Pacific). Hogan, leading a team of more than 100, will spearhead sales, customer success, and operational delivery of GumGum's media advertising business across Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and emerging JAPAC markets. He most recently served as the first APAC employee at Ogury, establishing the company as a privacy-first solution provider in the region.

Adam Rowe appointed Doohly's head of operations

Out-of-home content management system provider Doohly has named Adam Rowe head of operations. Rowe joins Doohly after holding operational roles at oOh!media for more than eight years and most recently Claude Outdoor. Doohly co-founder and CEO, Sean Law, said the appointment of Rowe was a significant part of the company’s growth strategy.

Genevra Leek becomes editor-in-chief of Qantas magazine

Medium Rare Content Agency has appointed Genevra Leek editor-in-chief of the Qantas magazine and its digital arm, Travel Insider. Leek joined the brand in January 2023 as content director and more recently served as editor. Before joining Medium Rare, which publishes the Qantas magazine, she spent almost two decades working at luxury titles, including Vogue Australia and Elle Australia.
