Avid Collective's new senior executive team
Native content platform Avid Collective has formed a new structure for its senior executive team, with founder Luke Spano and commercial director Ezechiel Ritchie moving to new roles. Spano, currently Avid’s managing director, will move into the newly created CEO role, while Ritchie has been promoted to general manager.Ritchie will lead day-to-day business operations across all functions, along with managing all larger commercial partnership discussions with brands and agencies.
Olia Krivtchoun appointed Spark Foundry chief client services officer
Spark Foundry Australia has named Olia Krivtchoun to the newly created role of chief client services officer. Krivtchoun will join the executive leadership team. She will be focused on further fostering inter-disciplinary connection across the agency in strategy, planning, analytics, investment, performance, data and technology. She will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of 120 client integration specialists to further enhance the quality of service and foster long-term relationships with client partners.
Connecting Plots appoints TBWA\Eleven's Kent Pearson as managing partner
Connecting Plots has appointed Kent Pearson as managing partner, to lead the business's social offering a.glo. Pearson will expand the specialist business unit’s remit from social performance creative into always-on social, influencer, creator and content partnerships. Pearson has held senior positions at agencies including TBWA\Eleven where he was head of social & content and managing partner at GROUND, where he was a part of client growth for Bumble and Pet Circle.
Zara Curtis becoming Mamamia chief content officer in September
Mamamia has named Zara Curtis as chief content officer (CCO), effective from September. She will set the strategic content direction for audience growth and lead the Mamamia content team including recently promoted Eliza Sorman-Nilsson (head of content), recently joined Jocelin Abbey (head of audience development), Jessie-Lee Klass (podcast content director), and Harrie Jack (creative director).
Sean Power appointed Seven's Sydney director of news
Sean Power has been appointed to the role of director of news for Seven Sydney. Power currently serves as the executive producer of Sunrise; current supervising producer Jake Lyle will take over the role. Power’s appointment follows the decision by current director of news in Sydney, Neil Warren, to step aside for family reasons. With a broadcast television career spanning 44 years, the past 32 of which have been with Seven, Warren has a worked as a journalist, bureau chief, executive producer and news director.
NOVA promotes Josh Halling to group commercial director
NOVA Entertainment has promoted Sydney commercial director Josh Halling to the role of group commercial director. Halling will lead NOVA’s Sydney and Melbourne direct and independent agency teams to drive and execute national strategic initiatives. With NOVA Entertainment’s focus on audio as a performance and outcomes-driven medium, Halling’s remit will also include driving the opportunity for audio amongst small to medium enterprises.
Simone Aquilina promoted to GM of Storyation
Medium Rare Content Agency has appointed Simone Aquilina GM of its specialist content marketing agency, Storyation. Aquilina brings more than two decades of experience to the role, having joined Storyation in 2022 as commercial director, with previous leadership roles at Australian Geographic, Are Media and Bauer Media Group.
