It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Amazon's Oliver Newton appointed SCA's executive head - LiSTNR commercial

SCA chief commercial officer, Seb Rennie, today announced that Oliver Newton will join the business as executive head – LiSTNR commercial. Newton joins from Amazon, where he was AdTech Sales Director.

Mash appoints three to leadership team

Mash,a few weeks after a $2 million pre-series A funding, has appointed Damien Miller client partnerships & culture director (APAC), Rich Akers as creative partnerships director for Asia and Amy Williams as creative partnerships director for ANZ.

Noisy Beast Sydney's Lisa Blackshaw joins Edge as media director

Independent creative and media agency Edge has appointed Lisa Blackshaw to head its media team in the role of media director. Blackshaw joins from Noisy Beast Sydney, where she was media director over the past 10 years and prior at MEC Sydney as group business director. 

Town Square appoints Uncommon Creative Studio's Greg Beer

Melbourne independent creative agency Town Square has appointed Greg Beer as head of art, a newly created role to reflect its new and organic business growth. Beer returns to Australia from the UK where he spent more than 15 years at London advertising and design agencies, including Wieden + Kennedy, Mother, TBWA, Fallon and VCCP. 

Richard Lehocz named MD of Carat Victoria

Carat, a dentsu company, has promoted Victoria general manager Richard Lehocz to managing director Carat Victoria. Lehocz has been with Carat Melbourne for five and a half years, has an extensive background in media and digital advertising and has strong relationships with a wide array of clients and media partners in Melbourne.

Caroline Hugall named chief strategy officer at Spark Foundry

Spark Foundry Australia has appointed Caroline Hugall chief strategy officer. Hugall joins with close to 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles both client-side and in agencies across Australia, the UK and the US. 

R/GA appoints Seamus Higgins chief creative officer

Seamus Higgins has rejoined R/GA as chief creative officer for Australia. Higgins will partner closely with Ben Miles who will continue to lead R/GA’s brand design and consulting practice across Australia and Asia.

BBDO’s Jim Moser returning to Australia

Jim Moser, chairman, BBDO Europe, has resigned and is returning to Australia. Moser is a former chair of Clemenger BBDO in Melbourne and was the CEO of Clemenger New Zealand for more than 10 years. The American also led Clemenger Sydney between 1999 and 2008 as managing director.

Suzie Cardwell becomes Nine's chief data officer

Suzie Cardwell has been named Nine's chief data officer. Cardwell, with more than 20 years experience, brings a wealth of consumer and commercial experience and expertise in media, digital and data to the role. She has held prominent leadership roles in other large media organisations, including News Corp and Foxtel.

Creative Led Marketing Group appoints Toby Dames GM

Creative Led Marketing Group (CLMG) as appointed Toby Dames general manager. Dames’ portfolio demonstrates his ability to foster growth and establish digital departments, having collaborated with major players across diverse industries including McDonald’s, Cricket Australia, AFL, Harvey Norman and Bupa.
 
 

Seven West Media has appointed Todd Dickinson MD for Queensland, reporting to CEO James Warburton. The appointment comes after Victoria Cross winner Ben Roberts-Smith resigned as general manager Queensland following a Federal Court ruling in a civil defamation case found he murdered or was complicit in the killing of unarmed Afghans.
