SCA's Grant Blackley steps down, John Kelly becomes CEO
Grant Blackley is stepping down as CEO of broadcaster Southern Cross Austereo (SCA). He is being replaced by chief operating officer (COO) John Kelly from July. Blackley has not revealed his next move but has agreed to extend his contractual post-employment restraint period to nine months from six.
Benjamin Haslem joins Icon Agency to head public affairs
Icon Agency has appointed Benjamin Haslem director of media and public affairs based in Sydney. Haslem previously co-founded and led two public affairs firms, and has more than 30 years of experience as a journalist and in communications.
CHEP nabs Spark Foundry's Anna Cherry as chief media officer
CHEP Network has appointed Anna Cherry chief media officer and will be joining the agency's executive leadership team. Cherry joins from Spark Foundry, where she led the agency’s strategy function nationally.
QMS expands NSW agency sales team
QMS has hired Cherie Salt and Simone Donovan as group business directors, joining existing group business director Alex Morrison. The outdoor media group has also added two account managers: Zach Grenenger from Southern Cross Austereo and KPMG Australia; and Allira Tyrell, who previously worked at Seven West Media.
Bastion Transform hires ex-Meta executive Jenni Ryall
Bastion Transform, the content strategy and digital transformation arm of Bastion, led by former ABC news director Gaven Morris, has appointed Jenni Ryall to the new senior position of group director, dusiness development and strategy.
Cassette appoints Sarah Hazen as Sydney GM
Cassette, has appointed Sarah Hazen in the newly created role of general manager, Sydney. She is the latest addition to the leadership team after Cassette welcomed creative production director, Richard Hollins, and COO (and ex-Carat head of strategy) Laura Bartal last year.
Jadanne Dare is KPMG's new head of brand and marketing strategy
KPMG Australia has appointed Jadanne Dare, from Amazon Web Services, head of brand and marketing strategy. Sudeep Gohil, who formerly led brand strategy in addition to his role as a partner at KPMG Customer, will now dedicate 100% of his time to client work.
iProspect appoints Bec Rosa client partner
iProspect, a dentsu company, has appointed Bec Rosa client partner, Victoria. Rosa joins the business from Bunnings where she has worked for more than 14 years, most recently as media integration manager and digital marketing manager.
Think HQ hires three from Marmalade
Social change agency Think HQ has made three key hires, all from creative agency Marmalade after it closed its doors at the end of 2022. Lisa Gumbleton has joined as head of creative strategy, Sam McCarron head of art, and Nadia Ladson as an account director.
Lucy Gavan jumps back to Interbrand as strategy director
Branding consultancy Interbrand Australia has appointed Lucy Gavan strategy director. Gavan will act as the strategic lead on key accounts, actively support the team’s development and grow the agency’s brand experience practice.
Optimizely names Rupali Jain chief product officer
Digital experience platform (DXP) provider Optimizely has named Rupali Jain as its chief product officer. Prior to joining Optimizely, Jain held product leadership roles at a number of SaaS software companies, including PowerBI at Microsoft and Qualtrics.
