It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

whiteGREY's Magdalina Triantafyllidis appointed managing director at Hardhat

Independent creative agency Hardhat has appointed Magdalina Triantafyllidis managing director. She joins from whiteGREY, where she held the same position. Triantafyllidis has previously served as managing director for almost seven years at WPP’s bespoke Ford agency, GTB. Her prior roles span Cummins&Partners, ClemengerBBDO, DraftFCB, CHEP and JWT.

Taboola appoints former Yahoo executive Sebastian Graham

Taboola has grown has appointed former Yahoo executive Sebastian Graham APAC director of agency development. In the newly created role, he will be responsible for establishing Taboola’s APAC agency development team, while also creating further partnerships with agencies, brands, and technology partners. Graham spent six years heading up native for Yahoo in the ANZ and APAC markets, as director – native APAC. 

R/GA Australia unveils fresh faces and promotions

Creative innovation studio R/GA Australia has announced a lineup of new hires and promotions within its creative team. Hailing from New Zealand and Wales, Rachel Blacklaws and Andrew Singleton join as creative directors, calling Melbourne their creative home. In Sydney, senior copywriter Kate Ross and senior art director Courtney Fay have been promoted to associate creative directors. Alex Morris, R/GA’s newly appointed senior copywriter, joins from London. Teaming up with Morris is Aaron McCann, promoted to senior art director.

Rocket agency appoints Samantha Dodson creative director

Digital marketing agency Rocket has appointed Samantha Dodson creative director. Ex-Ogilvy and DDB, as well as creative lead at BlueMelon, Dodson brings a wealth of experience, having excelled in both B2B and B2C landscapes for brands including LinkedIn, Adobe, Microsoft and Salesforce, as well as Telstra, WWF, Coca-Cola and KFC.

Matthew Godfrey to lead Media.Monks APAC content

S4Capital’s operating brand Media.Monks has appointed Matthew Godfrey to lead its APAC Content practice. Before joining Media.Monks, Godfrey was CEO of food tech start-up Nutrition Innovation. He also has more than 15 years as CEO of agency businesses, including VMLY&R and Publicis Worldwide.Godfrey will work alongside Kenny Griffiths, managing director APAC of data, digital and media.

Paula Lopes appointed digital director at Avenue C

Independent media agency Avenue C has appointed Paula Lopes digital director. She joins from her role as chief operations manager at KINESSO (merger of Reprise, Matterkind, and Kinesso specialities). Her background includes senior roles at Ikon, UM and Reprise Digital.

Ideally appoints Simon Gawn to lead Australian operations

Customer insights platform Ideally has appointed Simon Gawn to lead Australian operations. Gawn’s immediate remit is to capitalise on Ideally’s significant growth opportunities in Australia, a market five times larger than New Zealand.

Man of Many key hires

Men’s lifestyle digital publication Man of Many added two members to its team: Naman Singh (formerly Ikon and Havas Media) as SEO Content Specialist and Alex Martinez (ex Nova Entertainment) as Sales & Partnerships Manager.

Ross McNab named Vistar Media's CRO 

Vistar Media has named Australian Ross McNab as chief revenue officer. McNab joins Vistar from Cardlytics, where he served as chief business officer for four years. McNab will be responsible for overseeing all revenue streams across the company, with a focus on enhancing the scalability of Vistar's programmatic marketplaces and enterprise software business worldwide.
