TBWA\Melbourne promote senior creative leads
TBWA\Melbourne has promoted Matt Stoddart to executive creative director and Pat Sofra to head of art & design.Stoddart brings more than 20 years’ experience, working across the whole communication landscape for a range of brands, including NAB, Vodka Cruiser, and Nissan. Sofra has been with the agency for 17 years and brings a wealth of experience, working across brands such as Adidas, SEEK and Coles.
Former Facebook MD Liam Walsh joins Fabulate
Content marketing platform platform Fabulate has appointed Liam Walsh to the board. Walsh is a former managing director of Facebook in Australia, who rose to the role of Facebook’s preferred marketing developer (PMD) for JAPAC overseeing the platform’s tool to assist advertisers run marketing and advertising across the region.
Kerry Warren appointed editor of news.com.au
Kerry Warren has been appointed editor of news.com.au. Warren has held numerous senior leadership roles since joining news.com.au in 2019, including commissioning editor, news editor and most recently has been sections editor for the past two years. Warren helped lead news.com.au’s Let Her Speak campaign to a Walkley Award.
QMS has appointed John Purcell to the newly created role of chief technology officer, effective immediately. Reporting to QMS chief operating officer – corporate, Malcolm Pearce, Purcell will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company’s technology and innovation strategy.
Nick Mills and The Dot Collective join the Merchantwise Group
Nick Mills and his boutique licensing and creative agency The Dot Collective have joined the Merchantwise Group. Appointed as the Merchantwise Group’s retail and trend director, Mills' existing brand representation clients under his agency The Dot Collective will now be incorporated into the Merchantwise Group portfolio.
IPG Mediabrands' Ellen Raffery joins Mindbox
Independent marketing consultancy Mindbox has appointed ex-IPG Mediabrands' Ellen Rafferty to the role of business manager. Rafferty will be tasked with expanding Mindbox’s service offering to both existing and new clients, as well as assisting founder and CEO Nic Halley with the day-to-day running of the business.
Edge promotes Nicole Gardner to MD
Independent creative agency Edge has promoted GM Nicole Gardner to managing director. The current MD, David Stretch, is moving to a role as non-executive director, responsible for strategic partnerships. Stretch remains a board director and working in an advisory role for several tech and start-up businesses.
