PHD's Rohan Nayee jumps to EssenceMediacom
EssenceMediacom has appointed Rohan Nayee client managing partner for the Commonwealth Bank (CBA) and BankWest. Joining from PHD, where he most recently led marketing and new business for the agency, Nayee replaces Pat Crowley. Crowley, who moved in-house after being appointed by CBA as its general manager of paid and owned media earlier this year, was instrumental in the recruitment and appointment of Nayee.
AMAA CEO Josanne Ryan steps down, Patrick Whitnall to replace
The Audited Media Association of Australia (AMAA) board's long-standing CEO Josanne Ryan has departed and Patrick Whitnall has been appointed to the new role of managing director. Over the past three years, the AMAA has worked alongside the industry to build industry body the Australian Influencer Marketing Council (AiMCO). Ryan will leave the organisation in mid-November.
Grace O'Neill appointed ELLE Australia editor
Are Media has appointed Grace O’Neillas editor of the new ELLE Australia magazine, coming in 2024. Are Media will publish two editions of ELLE Australia next year (autumn/winter in March and spring/summer in September), increasing to four editions in 2025. O'Neill is currently living in London as the global content editor of Harper’s BAZAAR Australia.
oOh!media creates programmatic sales team headed by Matterkind's Georgie Fox
oOh!media has appointed Georgie Fox head of digital sales to lead a newly created programmatic sales team. Fox joins from IPG Mediabrands’ addressable media agency, Matterkind, where as head of investment and partnerships she oversaw the management of publisher and supply technology relationships across channels including video/BVOD, display, audio, digital OOH and native.
Ogilvy appoints Ant Simmons group creative director
Ogilvy ANZ has appointed Ant Simmons group creative director, joining the Melbourne team. He joins from Heartland where he was founder of the independent agency, working with an international client base including Mecca Brands Australia and Heineken Asia Pacific. Simmons was also previously creative director at Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne, responsible for delivering integrated thinking across traditional and non-traditional formats.
cummins&partners appoints former Special and Bullfrog leader Sarah Raine GM Melbourne
cummins&partners has appointed Sarah Raine general manager of its Melbourne office. Michael McConville, CEO of cummins&partners, said Raine cares about people and the work. In equal weighting, and with equal passion. And she’s got runs on the board to prove it, with industry and clients just loving working with her. And now I am too. I am so damn excited to get going together.
Initiative promotes Ryan Haeusler and Emma Greenhalgh
Initiative has promoted Ryan Haeusler to the newly created role of national head of communications design and Emma Greenhalgh to Sydney head of communications design. Greenhalgh reports to Haeusler who will now report to chief strategy and product officer Chris Colter. Haeusler joined Initiative in 2015 and most recently held the role of Sydney head of communications design.
VMLY&R's Katherine Chen jumps to cummins&partners
Former VMLY&R managing partner Katherine Chen has been appointed general manager Sydney at independent cummins&partners. She is the final piece of the agency’s new national leadership team. At VMLY&R Chen oversaw clients including Australia Post, Rip Curl, Australian Unity, Monash, Intel and Colgate. Prior to that she was client services director at Ensemble, IPG Mediabrands’ brand, content, experiential and media arm.
Today the Brave adds senior production and account talent
Today the Brave has appointed Cosmo Haskard group business director and Kate Gregson operations manager .Haskard will be responsible for leading the agency’s account group while Gregson who will be supporting operations director, Alistair Pratten.
