Movers & Shakers: P&G, Seven West Media, eBay

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out the biggest moves in adland this week.

P&G names new ANZ boss

Procter & Gamble has promoted sales director Vivek Gupta to managing director ANZ. Gupta succeeds Antoine Brun who is returning to Europe to lead P&G’s South-East Europe business unit. Gupta joined P&G’s Melbourne office more than 10 years ago from the company’s Mumbai branch, starting out as an account manager and working his way to the top.

CEO Ed Harrison made redundant as Seven West Media sells stake in Yahoo7

Seven West Media has split from Yahoo7, selling its 50% stake in the company to Oath. As a result, CEO Ed Harrison, chief financial officer Penny Diamantakiou, chief technology officer Paul Russell and director of product Mark Robinson have been made redundant. Current chief revenue officer Paul Sigaloff is promoted to MD of Oath ANZ. Read more here.

Carat MD named CEO of Marketforce and OMD

Carat Perth managing director Adam Marshall has been named the new CEO of Marketforce/OMD. Both Marketforce and OMD are part of the Omnicom group, with Marketforce sitting under the Clemenger umbrella and OMD in Omnicom Media. Marshall has been at Carat for nearly three years, also holding roles at Mindshare, Maxus, Initiative and OMD. His appointment follows a period of unstable leadership at Marketforce, with two CEOs exiting in the last 12 months. Read more here.

Lance Traore named country manager of new ad tech firm

Audience prospecting firm Illuma has launched in Australia and appointed former Unruly ANZ boss Lance Traore as country manager. Illuma is an independent advertising technology company that connects publishers and advertisers to audiences through an ‘intelligent prospecting system’. Australia and New Zealand are the first international markets the UK-based ad tech firm has expanded to. Read more here.

eBay names American Express marketer as CMO

Online marketplace eBay has named American Express marketer Julie Nestor as CMO. The move follows Tim MacKinnon's promotion from CMO to managing director last year. Nestor has more than 20 years of marketing experience in Australia and Hong Kong and in her role as CMO she will be focused on loyalty, personalisation and partnerships. Read more here.

Former AdRoll boss Ben Sharp takes helm of ADMA

The Association for Data-Driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) has appointed former AdRoll boss Ben Sharp as its new managing director. Sharp replaces Jodie Sangster, who has is leaving at the end of April for a role at IBM Watson. Sharp brings nearly 20 years of experience in senior adtech, digital marketing, publishing and advertising roles at companies including Allure Media, Yahoo! AU/NZ and Yahoo!7. Read more here.

Cat Prestipino joins start-up as CMO

Sydney founded startup Employment Hero has hired former AdRoll JAPAC marketer Cat Prestipino as its first CMO. The move follows the cloud-based HR, payroll and benefits platform scooping an $8 million cash boost, thanks to Series B funding round from Seek, OneVentures, AMP and AirTree Ventures. Prestipino left AdRoll in December in a wave of shock redundancies at the ad tech business, along with other senior leadership, including boss Ben Sharp. Indie agency Designate names MD

Sydney based creative agency Designate Group has appointed Andrew Nobbs as its new MD. Nobbs will take over for Renée Carter who will now join the company's board. Nobbs has led the creative team at Designate Group for the last seven years. Prior to Designate he spent 10 years as creative director at Barton Design.
