Movers & Shakers: oOh!media, Nine, Audible, Boomtown

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out the biggest moves in adland from this week.

Boomtown appoints Francesca Ryan marketing lead 

Boomtown, the collective representing the nearly 10 million people living in regional Australia, has appointed Francesca Ryan marketing lead. She replaces Nikki Clarkson, who has been appointed CMO at the Victoria Racing Club.

Jocelin Abbey joins Are Media

Are Media has appointed Jocelin Abbey to the new role of general manager, homes and lifestyle. She will be responsible for the Homes and Lifestyle omnichannel media brands including Better Homes and Gardens.

Nine's Del Fordham switches to Audible

Amazon has appointed Del Fordham associate director, originals. He will be responsible for producing and commissioning Audible’s content across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and India.

Andy Taylor moves to Sunny Advertising

Andy Taylor has been appointed account director at independent Sunny Advertising. He has worked across three continents with a number of media organisations including Publicis Groupe, Omnicom and dentsu.

Kurt Burnette lands at Cre8tive AI studios

Kurt Burnette, the former chief revenue officer at Seven, has joined Cre8tive AI studios as chief commercial officer. 

Chris Freel jumps to MiQ from oOh!media

Chris Freel has left oOh!media where he was group sales director to become chief revenue officer at global programmatic media partner MiQ in Australia and New Zealand.

The Works' Emelie Jessika Lundberg becomes Bread Agency general manager

Social Commerce agency Bread Agency has appointed Emelie Jessika Lundberg general manager. She joins from The Works, part of Capgemini, where she was head of social.  

SCA sales leadership promotions in regional NSW and QLD

SCA today announced the promotions of Blair Woodcock to head of regional content and Gold Coast general manager and Nick Unger to head of sales regional NSW and QLD.

Nine restructures data, product and technology

Lewis Evans has been named chief product and technology officer, consumer. Nine’s current chief data officer, Suzie Cardwell has been appointed to the expanded role of chief data, product, and technology officer, enterprise.  

Mark Fairhurst confirmed as oOh! chief revenue officer

oOh!media has confirmed Mark Fairhurst as chief revenue officer and appointed Andrew Every chief strategy and retail media officer. 

Ex-Modibodi creatives open boutique studio

The trio behind the creative of global period underwear brand Modibodi, Grace O’Brien, Jacque Kennedy and Lucie de La Chaise, have launched creative studio Outside In.

Genevieve Read returns to The General Store

Genevieve Read, who began her career at The General Store eight years ago, has returned as design director. She will be responsible for leading the agency’s brand design practice.

EssenceMediacom appoints Susan Lyons managing director for Brisbane

GroupM media agency EssenceMediacom has appointed Susan Lyons managing director Brisbane. She brings almost 20 years’ experience in the media industry.

News Corp's Sport Network appointments

Jessica Montague steps into the new role head of commercial content for the News Sport and Prestige Networks. Another key appointment is Eliza Sewell, named editor of Code Sports.
