Adland is full of big moves at the moment. Here are the movers and shakers of this week.

Bateman and Kingsmill depart Telstra after roles restructured

Less than a month after their roles were removed from the telco, Andy Bateman and Inese Kingsmill have departed Telstra.

AdNews revealed earlier this month that both Bateman's and Kingsmill's roles were removed in the second major marketing restructure instigated by the business's CMO Joe Pollard, with both top marketers considering whether to stay at the telco in other roles or depart. Read more here.

Founder and CEO of Holler Australia, Mike Hill, departs

Founder and CEO of digital agency Holler Australia, Mike Hill, is departing the business after 10 years at the helm. The IPMG-owned agency will now be led by managing director, Merran Morton.

He told AdNews this was one of the hardest decisions he's ever made. Read more here.

Powerful female digital and competition chief joins Salesforce

Neelie Kroes, one of the most powerful women in Europe, has exited the halls of the EU’s government in Brussels to take a role as one of the directors of CRM firm Salesforce.

Kroes was formerly vice president of the European Commission, European commissioner for competition, and European commissioner for the digital agenda. Read more here.

Dentsu leadership changes

Dentsu Mitchell and Vizeum CEO Kenny Stuart are leaving the network with national managing directors Adrian Roeling (Dentsu Mitchell) and Travis Day (Vizeum) to lead the two agencies respectively. Also leaving is Patrick O'Beirne, the MD of Haystac and Spark Communications, and David Stevenson, chief innovations and marketing officer. Read more here.

Sports agency Gemba expands

Sports and entertainment consultancy Gemba has expanded its presence in China and Europe due to growing client demand, hiring Maeve Moriarty as general manager of Europe and global rugby projects and Yan Mao asgeneral manager of Gemba's Shanghai office. Read more here.

Starcom promotes senior managers

Starcom Melbourne has promoted Peter Toone to managing director. Toone was previously general manager, a role that will now be filled by Naomi Johnston. Penny Shell has also been promoted to head of strategy and solutions. She was previously a business director. Read more here.

Sneddon departs MediaCom 

MediaCom Sydney MD James Sneddon is to exit the agency in June "to pursue other opportunities". He has been with MediaCom since 2010 and took on the MD role in September last year.

Sean Seamer, CEO MediaCom ANZ, will now oversee the Sydney operation, supported by recently appointed national managing director of client service, Nicole Boyd. Boyd will focus on Sydney clients during the handover period while a replacement is recruited. Read more here.

Tonagh to take Ten board seat

New Foxtel chief executive and former News Corp boss, Peter Tonagh, has stepped down from his role on the REA group board in favour of a seat at Channel Ten. The News Corp-owned title is reporting that Tonagh is set to be named a Ten Network Holdings director. Read more here.
