Thinkerbell hunts Melbourne MD
Thinkerbell is hunting a Melbourne managing director, following news PwC has taken a staken in the agency. The agency officially launched in June this year with former Clemenger trio Adam Ferrier, Jim Ingram, Ben Couzens as the founding partners. It recently picked up the 13CABS account.
Facebook ups focus on agency partnerships
Facebook has bolstered its media agency relationships team with the two new senior hires. Carolyn Bollaci and Thomas Hosking have joined the team as agency relationship leads. Bollaci joins Facebook to head up relationships with WPP following an extensive career in the marketing and advertising industry as Innovid’s MD APAC and Sizmek’s regional vice president ANZ. Hosking will head up relationships with IPG and Publicis, and joins Facebook following senior content marketing roles at Fox Sports Australia and Society Social’s head of strategic advice.
The Media Store hires former Network Ten senior executive
Independent media agency The Media Store (TMS) is set to open a new office in Melbourne and has hired former ARN and Network Ten senior executive, Stephen Leeds, as its GM. Headquartered in Melbourne, with a mandate to service the agency’s biggest clients Toyota and Lexus, and to grow the business across a variety of sectors and industries, the agency opens in January next year. Leeds most recently worked at The New Daily as commercial director and prior to that was Melbourne sales director at ARN for nearly three years. Before that he was at Network Ten in various roles for 12 years. Read more here.
The Royals hires head of CX
The Royals has launched a customer experience (CX) division, recruiting BWM Dentsu's Mikaël Perhirin to lead the agency’s offering as head of CX. Perhirin joins The Royals after nearly four years at BWM Dentsu as head of digital and CX. He will work with the agency partners and head of strategy Michaela Futcher to integrate customer experience into The Royals’ offering. The Royals are on the hunt for more recruits with a CX bent to join the growing team. Read more here.
MediaCom promotes Dan Connor to head of strategy
Dan Connor has been promoted from group planning director to head of strategy of MediaCom Melbourne. Relocating to Melbourne from Sydney, Connor will be the leading advocate of MediaCom’s systems planning philosophy and application. The move indicates the agency's investment in increasing its Melbourne presence. Connor will report directly to Melbourne-based COO Willie Pang and will also see him form part of recently appointed chief strategy officer Mike Deane's national strategy and planning team. Connor has been with MediaCom for three years.
