Adele Wieser appointed IAB Executive Technology Council chair
IAB Australia has appointed Adele Wieser, regional MD of APAC for Index Exchange, as the chair of its Executive Technology Council (ETC) effective immediately. Wieser, who has replaced Angus Keene, will also become the ETC representative on the IAB Australia board.
Havas Media restructures partnerships team
Havas Media Group has promoted Kevin Fernandes to the newly created role of national head of partnerships and adtech across all media channels. Fernandes has been six years at Havas Media, previously head of data solutions and adtech.
303 MullenLowe Perth appoints Matt Oakley CSO
303 MullenLowe Perth has appointed international talent Matt Oakley to the new position of chief strategy officer. Oakley was most recently strategy and planning director at Taxi Studio, UK independent brand design firm, in Bristol and London.
Diphaa Nair named DEPT's director of strategic alliances for APAC
Global digital agency DEPT has appointed Diphaa Nair director of strategic alliances for APAC. The appointment comes on the back of the recent acquisition of a Adobe DX specialist firm Tekno Point. Nair will be working with India based Tekno Point/DEPT team to expand the agency’s Adobe Practice globally.
Merkle elevates Steve Yurisich to CEO
Merkle, a dentsu company, has promoted Steve Yurisich as chief executive officer for Australia and New Zealand, replacing John Riccio after one year in the role. Riccio is moving into a dedicated role for the company’s Asia-Pacific business.
DENTSU CREATIVE lures Cate Stuart-Robertson back to adland
DENTSU CREATIVE ANZ has appointed former Clemenger BBDO managing partner Cate Stuart-Robertson chief client officer. She will work closely with CEO Kirsty Muddle to deliver modern creativity for clients and demonstrate the value of creativity to CMOs.
John McDuling to be editor at Chris Janz venture
John McDuling has been appointed editor-in-chief of a startup business news subscription service being put together by former Nine executive and media entrepreneur Chris Janz. McDuling was formerly national business editor the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.
Partnership management platform impact.com has made several promotions as it expands its brand, publisher, and agency portfolio across APAC. Nick Randall has been promoted to the newly created position of regional vice president of customer growth, APAC.
Yoghurt Digital promotes pair
Digital marketing agency Yoghurt Digital has further bolstered its service offering with the promotions of Amy Cheng to head of UXC and Joe Alder to head of organic search. Yoghurt Digital: "Cheng has been managing deep-dive digital user research projects and experimentation programs for the better part of 15 years, while Alder brings an encyclopaedia of SEO knowledge and a penchant for problem-solving that has been crucial to the agency’s revenue growth in 2022".
M&C Saatchi Group appoints former editor as PR & communications lead
Creative solutions company M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ has appointed Olivia Kruimel as PR & communications director. Reporting to Amanda Quested, head of group marketing & communications, Kruimel will oversee PR, internal and external communications across the group’s Australia and New Zealand operations. Prior to joining the group, Kruimel was editor at media, marketing and advertising industry publication Mumbrella.
