OMD's Nik Doble to Mindshare as national head of investment
Mindshare has appointed Nik Doble national head of investment for Australia, replacing Paige Wheaton who moved to Initiative as chief investment and partnerships officer earlier this year. With 15 years’ experience in the media industry, Doble joins from OMD where he was head of investment, Melbourne. Prior to that he held several roles publisher side.
UM's Kimberly Stafford moves to Bohemia
Media agency Bohemia, part of the M&C Saatchi Group, has appointed Kimberly Stafford national client partner. Stafford joins the agency to be the driving force behind its end-to-end client experience and client lifecycle. Stafford will spearhead the agency's efforts to raise the bar on client communication, engagement, and satisfaction.
Innocean announces raft of senior hires
Innocean Australia has announced a raft of new staff as the agency reports a 27% increase in fees this year, which has also resulted the agency growing its staff by 30% overthe last year. Among the 11 new hires are Hannah Melanson who joins as digital creative director, Dave Varney as creative director, and Adam Hosfal as managing partner.
HERO appoints Sarah Deery head of client service
Creative independent HERO has appointed Sarah Deery to the newly created role of head of client service. Most recently group account director at Rumble, Deery brings more than two decades of Brisbane client experience to HERO, including eight years at Engine Group and prior to that at independent creative Junior.
Magnite appoints Yael Milbank managing director ANZ
Independent sell-side advertising company Magnite has appointed Yael Milbank to the newly created role of managing director, Australia and New Zealand. He brings more than 20 years of experience across both markets to the role, including at TVNZ and TradeMe, where he led sales teams and owned senior internal and external relationships, before joining Magnite in 2016.
Nine's CFO departs, new chief financial and strategy officer named
Nine Entertainment's chief financial officer, Maria Phillips, is departing, sparking a restructure in the executive team at the media group. Matt Stanton, currently Nine’s chief strategy officer and MD of Olympics and Paralympics, will assume a new role as chief financial and strategy officer.
Trout appoints Sarah Naumoski group brand partner
Trout Creative Thinking has appointed Sarah Naumoski group brand partner. Naumoski has previously held roles at AJF Partnership, The Brand Agency and GPY&R, successfully running Australian brands such as Target Australia, Cancer Council Victoria, Bunnings, Public Transport Victoria, Cash Converters and Australia Post.
Mandy Pattinson becomes non-executive director of Nine
Nine Entertainment Co. has appointed Mandy Pattinson as a non-executive director, effective immediately. Pattinson is currently an executive consultant, drawing on her more than 25 years experience in the media and entertainment industries both locally and internationally.
Former Saatchi CEO Chris Kay joins UTS
Chris Kay, a former Saatchi & Saatchi CEO in London, has been appointed an industry professor at UTS Business School. He returned to Australia in July this year and will soon be launching andOpen.xyz, a coaching and content collective. Kay started his career at the TBWA advertising agency working on campaigns for PlayStation Europe, followed by eight-years at Fallon.
Creative services platform Mash hires two
Mash, a creative services platform, has appointed Tanya Drerup to the newly created role of chief product officer, while Ollie Salisbury takes on the role of head of talent acquisition and community. Drerup and Salisbury will look to prioritise both client and Masher needs, as the company consolidates 16 off-the-shelf systems into one platform.
