Ken Parris and Gareth Fitzpatrick join Icon Agency
Kenneth E. Parris III and Gareth Fitzpatrick have joined integrated communications firm Icon Agency to head a new Sydney creative offering. Parris has more than 15 years experience in brand building, visual design and fine art, including stints as CD at DDB New York on Hasbro and Topps Candy. Fitzpatrick brings experience from creative agencies and in-house teams in London, Melbourne and Sydney, including Pepsi, AMEX, Tennis Australia, and Commbank.
Integrated creative agency MBCS has appointed creative duo Abby Clark as copywriter and Laura Murphy as art director. Earning their creative stripes during a two-year stint at CX Lavendar after finishing AWARD School, the team was integral to the creative strategy for clients such as Headspace Australia, Westpac and nbn.
303 MullenLowe Sydney forms new senior leadership
303 MullenLowe Sydney has formed a new senior leadership structure, spearheaded by the promotion of Joanna Gray to newly created role of Sydney CEO, and the appointment of communications leader Karen Coleman as Sydney MD. Gray will continue to drive new business growth, develop the agency’s newly formed specialisations such as 303 Health, and deliver on the promise of ‘creating unfair advantage’ to an expanding list of client partners. Coleman will lead the agency’s operations with a key focus on building high performance teams, further growing integrated solutions for clients and driving the productisation of services.
Claxon promotes Jake Kay-Lawson to strategy director
Full-service indie Claxon has promoted Jake Kay-Lawson to strategy director, reporting directly to general manager, Danny Molyneux.Joining Claxon in 2017, Kay-Lawson has played a pivotal role part of driving Claxon’s strategic and creative output across all disciplines, producing notable campaigns for Euka, Binance, Accor, chempro and F45. In his new role as strategy director, his immediate remit is to maintain the agency’s high growth momentum by formulating, facilitating, communicating and ultimately executing strategies that drive results.
Wavemaker's Adrian Cosstick to head strategy at Half Dome
Half Dome has named Adrian Cosstick head of strategy. Cosstick, beyond leading Half Dome’s strategic product and playing a significant role in new business, will focus on evolving the planning process to unlock boundary-breaking work for clients. Prior to Wavemaker ANZ where he led strategy, planning and thought leadership for the Mondelez ANZ account for five years, Cossick was strategy director at Maxus Global, head of marketing at Draftstars Ltd and commercial manager at CrownBet.
Nine's Esther Carlsen joins NOVA
NOVA Entertainment has appointed Esther Carlsen digital commercial director. Carlsen began her career as a sales leader across Yahoo7! and ninemsn, before leading Group M’s programmatic business unit, Xaxis, in the role of MD. Carlsen went on to lead the local operation for consumer data business, Axciom, before leading the digital performance agency, Bench. Most recently, Carlsen worked as commercial director for Nine Digital Audio.
Ex-Pollinate COO joins Bastion's CRNRSTONE as GM
CRNRSTONE, the research and data arm of Bastion, has appointed Nathan Saville general manager. Saville, based in Sydney, will be responsible for driving innovation and growth for the business. With 20 years experience shaping agencies and building relationships in the market research industry, Saville was most recently chief operating officer at Pollinate.
Peter Hunter to head Advertising Associates Sydney team
Advertising Associates has appointed Peter Hunter to head its new Sydney team. Hunter brings over 25 years of experience in the industry, most recently spending over four and a half years with Amazon in Singapore and Sydney as head of APAC ad tech sales. His background also includes roles such as national head of business planning with PHD Australia, MD of iProspect in Sydney and CEO of iProspect APAC, based in Singapore.
MADE THIS hires ex-Media.Monks Marie-Celine Merret
MADE THIS has appointed Marie-Celine Merret “MC” to head up the creative technology capability which includes all things experiential, immersive storytelling, gaming, AR & VR, XR, AI and content automation. Clemenger Group launched specialist production company MADE THIS with the focus on craft and innovation with the belief that with the explosion of connected technology the business of content creation requires smarter production of omnichannel content at scale.
