Kirsty Bloore joins Pollinate as research director
Strategic consulting and insights business Pollinate today has appointed Kirsty Bloore research director in Sydney, effective immediately. Bloore brings over 25 years’ research experience with her, spanning quantitative and qualitative research, data analytics and strategy across global media and technology companies.
Brian Gallagher appointed independent chair of Boomtown
The Boomtown collective has appointed Brian Gallagher, the former chief sales officer at SCA and the brains behind the Boomtown initiative, as its independent chair. Boomtown is powered by SCA, WIN, Seven Network, ARN, ACM, News Corp, Nine NBN and Imparja, who all have substantial regional footprints and offer advertisers a range of channels reaching a combined audience of 9.3 million regional Australians living outside the five major capital cities.
Clint Bratton returns to NZ as Proximity MD
Clemenger Group has appointed Clint Bratton managing director of Proximity NZ, following a competitive international search. The appointment comes as Proximity’s chief executive, Chris Pescott, is set to farewell the firm after three years at the helm, during which time he bought together .99 and Just1 under one brand at Proximity.
Kochie is Compare the Market’s new economic director
Price comparison website Compare the Market has appointed David 'Kochie' Koch as its new economic director. Following a long career at the helm of breakfast show, Sunrise, Koch said he was determined to make his next move as purposeful as possible by helping Australians improve their financial health.
Nicole Byers appointed GM - lifestyle at Are Media
Are Media has appointment Nicole Byers to the newly created role of general manager – lifestyle, effective immediately. In a media career spanning more than 20 years, Byers was most recently editor in chief of The Australian Women’s Weekly, a role she has held for six years. Before that, she held senior positions across many Are Media titles including Woman’s Day, NW, TV WEEK and OK! Magazine.
Ryvalmedia Melbourne appoints three to senior team
Ryvalmedia Melbourne has appointed three new senior hires to its client service team. Sarah Browne joins Ryvalmedia as group business director reporting to managing director, Joseph Pardillo. Melanie Anderson has taken up the business planning lead role, and Ratna Gupta joins as business director. All three appointments are effective immediately.
News Corp promotes Jessica Gilby and Dianna Molinaro
News Corp Australia has promoted Jessica Gilby to national head of digital and Dianna Molinaro to commerce commercialisation director. Gilby will lead an expanded team of digital leads and directors across the business, developing client solutions across data, content, commerce and video. Molinaro also steps into her new role immediately and will support Gilby in driving growth of the total commerce business.
Wunderman Thompson's new APAC CEO
Audrey Kuah is the new CEO Asia Pacific at Wunderman Thompson. She has more than two decades of expertise in marketing and joins from OCBC Bank where she was head, group marketing, global consumer & financial services. Before that she spent eight years at Dentsu.
Paul Wilkinson goes from Half Dome
Independent media agency Half Dome has made its head of commercial, Paul Wilkinson, redundant. Joe Frazer, head of growth at Half Dome, told AdNews the media agency has been growing at pace over the past 12 months. The agency announced in April a new brand positioning centred on the agency’s promise to unlock the Whole Potential of its clients and people.
Cass Jam joins Bear Meets Eagle On Fire
Creative director Cass Jam is joining creative studio Bear Meets Eagle On Fire (BMEOF). Most recently Jam spent four years at CHEP where she was instrumental in winning and shaping campaigns for IKEA, Samsung and eBay. Before that, she spent five years with Leo Burnett London.
