Emma Montgomery bounces back to the US
Emma Montgomery, the CEO of Leo Burnett Australia, is departing soon for the US. She is becoming CEO of DDB Chicago, two years after returning to Australia from the US. A successor will be announced later.
Sue Squillace to CEO in Mediahub leadership restructure
Sue Squillace has emerged as CEO in a restructure of Mediahub ANZ. The former local chief executive at Dentsu Media and Carat had been CEO of media, ANZ, for Attivo which is a joint venture partner with Mediabrands in full-service agency Mediahub.
DDB Sydney appoints Dan Bolton as creative partner
Dan Bolton has joined DDB Sydney as creative partner, bringing more than 14 years’ experience to the team. Bolton joins after roles at Howatson + Co, Havas London, M&C Saatchi, DDB Aotearoa New Zealand, and Droga5, where he led work on clients like Qantas, Coors Light, Sealy, John West, Heinz, and McDonald’s.
Wunderman Thompson hires 5 for national creative team
Wunderman Thompson Australia has added five creatives to its ranks, including Iain MacMillan as creative director in Melbourne. Stephanie Gwee is also promoted to creative director after joining the agency in September last year. The agency has also bolstered its Sydney team with the recent hiring of Maddy McGuinness and Jared Kinsler, and in Perth with Brendan Morrow and Jade Koch.
Apparent's John Halpin is the new CEO of GroupM New Zealand
John Halpin, from independent agency Apparent, is the new CEO of GroupM New Zealand. Halpin has global and local NZ experience working across brands including Coca-Cola, Commonwealth Bank, Telstra, Google, IBM and Microsoft.
Sarah McGilvray returns to NOVA in national programming role
Sarah McGilvray has returned to NOVA Entertainment in the newly created role of program director of network shows, leading the day-to-day management of the the network’s flagship national shows. McGilvray, will support the producers working on The Chrissie Swan Show, Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel and Smallzy’s Surgery, while also working with Taylor on programming strategy.
Stefania Accardo joins News Corp as head of data technology capability
News Corp Australia has appointed Stefania Accardo to the role of head of data technology capability for the Client Product and Strategy division. Accardo will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of audience and data commercialisation products.
Bastion Reputation grows team by three
Bastion Reputation has hired Clare Spratt, Kaysia Thompson and Blanca Brew. Spratt joins as a senior client executive after stints at PR and creative agency Keep Left and NINE Entertainment. Thompson brings experience from Sydney Anglican Diocese and Association of Independent Schools NSW to her role as client executive. Brew becomes assistant client executive, having interned with Reputation over the summer while finishing her final year at the University of Melbourne.
Joanna Lilley appointed principal of Accompany Group
Former Houston Group managing director Joanna Lilley has been appointed to the new role of principal at independent strategic brand and design company, The Accompany Group. Lilley joins founder and creative director Linda Jukic on the senior management team.
Alchemy One appoints John Phung data & analytics director
Alchemy One has appointed John Phung as data & analytics director. Phung will be responsible for shaping and delivering data and media solutions for the agency’s client partners, utilising his experience in data strategy and insights.Phung joins the independent media agency from AKQA.
NP Digital appoints Ash Dharan senior performance director
NP Digital, a global performance marketing agency founded by Neil Patel, has appointed Ash Dharan as senior director, performance, in Australia. She will lead the agency’s expansion into the region by supporting current and new clients to move away from traditional marketing approaches and embrace comprehensive integrated strategies.
