It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Lizzie Young announces key appointments for startup WeAre8
WeAre8, an advertising platform that donates part of its revenue to charity, today announced key appointments as the startup prepares for its local launch next month. Danika Johnston has been appointed chief commercial officer and Luke Robinson joins WeAre8 as CMO.

Hardhat makes three new senior hires and multiple promotions
Independent creative agency Hardhat has added three new senior team members and announced a string of internal promotions. Creative director Mark Tompkins joins Hardhat from TBWA Melbourne, where he helped develop campaigns for the likes of Nissan, Bumble, Seek and Mattel. Katy Ross has joined in the newly created role of operations director, driving resource efficiency as the agency scales for growth. Account director Jade Mittermair joins Hardhat from Saatchi & Saatchi.

Vistar Media appoints Auckland-based sales and partnerships director
Vistar Media, global provider of software for digital-out-of-home (DOOH), has appointed Sandra Scott as sales and partnership director for New Zealand. Scott, starting in July, will lead demand-side operations for Vistar Media in New Zealand, helping to support the growth of DOOH.

whiteGREY appoints Olivia Kaufman managing partner
Creative technology agency whiteGREY has appointed Olivia Kaufman to the new role of managing partner responsible for leading the Scentre Group and Glaxo SmithKline business.

Special Australia appoints the Chrises as creative directors
Special Australia has hired Chris Ellis and Chris Andrews as creative directors.The Chrises, as they are known, have been recognised at all major award shows including Gold at Cannes, Oneshow, Clio Grand Prix, Effies, Spikes, AWARD, D&AD pencils and in-book, as well as 17 nods at the Sirens.

Nik Stuart appointed general manager SCA Mackay
Nik Stuart has been appointed general manager for the SCA Mackay market. Stuart will lead the SCA Mackay team, including Triple M 98.7 Mackay/The Whitsundays and Hit 100.3 Mackay/The Whitsundays.

Jim Curtis appointed chief creative officer of Clemenger BBDO
Clemenger Group appoints Jim Curtis as chief creative officer for Clemenger BBDO, leading its creative discipline across both Melbourne and Sydney agencies. Curtis’ focus will be to apply Clemenger BBDO’s creative thinking to create new opportunities and solve business-critical challenges for clients around the country.

whiteGrey's Libby Young appointed creative director at JOY
Integrated agency JOY has appointed Libby Young creative director. Young joins JOY from whiteGREY where she also held the position of creative director and worked closely with Westfield AUNZ. before that, she worked at Sibling Agency, The Kinetic Agency, and Ogilvy.

Paul Connell joins Big Red Group as CMO
Australia and New Zealand experience marketplace, Big Red Group, has appointed Paul Connell chief marketing officer. Based at Big Red Group headquarters in Sydney, Connell will focus on delivering impact across the group and brands including RedBalloon, Adrenaline, Experience Oz, Local Agent and Lime&Tonic.

Brendan Harper appointed GM Frontier Media Queensland
Brendan Harper has been appointed general manager and group business director at media planning & buying agency Frontier Media in Queensland. His appointment follows the departure of Queensland director Alexandra Paton, who had been with Frontier Media for more than 15 years.

Marie Galinsky named national sales director of startup Fabulate
Australian content marketing platform Fabulate has named Marie Galinsky national sales director. Galinsky’s promotion will see her lead Fabulate’s growing sales team and comes just six months after she joined the content marketing startup to lead its Melbourne sales operation.

Wunderman Thompson appoints Steven Hey and Simon Koay creative directors
Wunderman Thompson has announced the promotion of Steven Hey and Simon Koay to creative directors. With two decades of industry experience between them, the duo began at Wunderman Thompson as senior creatives in 2018, progressing to associate creative directors in 2021.

Claire Williams is head of marketing at Premium Content Alliance
Industry body the Premium Content Alliance (PCA) announced the appointment of Claire Williams to the role of head of marketing.
