It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Dani Bassil named CEO of Clemenger BBDO Australia

Dani Bassil has been appointed CEO of Clemenger BBDO Australia, bringing its Melbourne and Sydney agencies together. Bassil will return home after almost 20 years in the UK, most recently as CEO of one of the country’s largest and most successful agencies, Digitas UK, where she implemented a strategic reorganisation of the agency.

Ryvalmedia new talent hires and senior promotions
Ryvalmedia has announced an expansion of the team with talent hires and senior promotions to meet increasing client demand and new business momentum. Rob Ramirez has been appointed head of SEO, and Julie Gabelich joins as business director and investment specialist.

BCM appoints joint creative directors

Independent creative and media agency BCM Group has promoted Shaun Egan and Sam Boyd joint creative directors.
The duo have been at the agency as a senior creative team for three years, after joining from VMLY&R.

Blis hires Natalie Muir as insights lead for APAC
Integrated planning and buying platform Blis has appointed media industry executive Natalie Muir as insights lead across APAC. Muir joins Blis most recently from her senior role in audience strategy and insights at broadcaster SBS and brings significant experience from previous roles across research, strategy and insights at leading media organisations oOH!media, Macquarie Radio Network, and Commercial Radio Australia.

The General Store hires retail journalist
Creative agency The General Store has hired former retail journalist and editor Jo-Anne Hui-Miller in a newly created role, content and insights director.

Veridooh appoints David Sutherland head of client & partnerships
Outdoor media adtech Veridooh has appointed David Sutherland head of client and partnerships, APAC.
He was most recently general manager of programmatic at QMS where he spent the past nine years. Prior to this he worked at oOh!media and media agencies such as Carat Australia.

Akcelo appoints Simon McCrudden as partner of group brand strategy
Akcelo has appointed Simon McCrudden partner of group brand strategy, based in the Melbourne office.
The former chief strategy officer of Hero/McCann, has also held executive planning director and chief strategy officer roles at BMF, McCann Worldgroup and JWT. Prior to moving to Australia, he held a senior strategy position at Wieden + Kennedy London.

Sunita Gloster joins UN Global Compact Network Australia
UN Global Compact Network Australia (UNGCNA), the local chapter of the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, today announced the appointment of Sunita Gloster as a strategic advisor.

Dentsu's Nicola Watkins switches to Alchemy One
Independent media agency Alchemy One has appointed Nicola Watkins strategy director.
Watkins, with more than eight years’ experience, joins Alchemy One team from dentsu where she worked with local brands and across key global accounts, including being part of the global pitch for The Coca-Cola Company as the agency’s ASEAN & South Pacific strategy lead.

News Corp replaces leadership at content agency Storyation
The founders of agency Storyation are leaving the specialist content agency now owned by News Corp Australia.
The agency will be led by general manager Andrés López-Varela and newly appointed commercial director Simone Aquilina, following the decision of co-founders Mimi Cullen and Lauren Quaintance to depart the business.

Red Havas Australia reshapes leadership team
Red Havas Australia has reshaped its leadership team to reflect local opportunities and its global focus on key growth areas.
Steve Fontanot , managing director of Red Havas, will take up a new role of commercial managing director for APAC that will include M&A and commercial partnerships. Fontanot will support the Havas APAC leadership team on strengthening the PR offering in the region and will continue in his role as managing director of Havas Blvd.

Icon Agency appoints Gabrielle Gray general manager
Integrated communications firm Icon Agency has appointed business consultant Gabrielle Gray general manager.
The newly created role will see Gray lead the commercial strategy of the business. The appointment follows two years of significant growth with Icon doubling in size and revenue, and earn 41 award nominations and 22 wins since the start of 2021.
